Totally random, but earlier today spellcheck autocorrected Morning Musume to Morning Muffins, and I don’t know what that is, but I want it, maybe with my morning co-o-hee :sun: :coffee:

I want them to sing "Morning Muffins" as a song now

My favorite muffin is a Banana Crumb Muffin. I learned how to make it in my culinary class.

I can't vouch for how well this thing works, nor am I particularly a fan of Lenovo (I have some annoying graphics driver issues with the laptop that I'm using right now), but fyi if anybody is looking for a supercheap Windows laptop in the US, it doesn't get much cheaper than this $169 :butbut: President's Day Sale. It's 11", so the thing is probably way too small to be a daily driver.

Oh wow!
I'm super tempted because I've always loved tiny laptops, and my Surface Pro 3 is for sure dying, but...
Haha, I will do some research on the morning.

I've been very pleasantly surprised by some of the music — blasts from the past — that I've been hearing out in the wild this week. Today at Half Price Books I heard "Here's Where the Story Ends" by the Sundays, and when I was shopping at Trader Joe's a few days ago, Sweet's "Love Is Like Oxygen" was playing. Not the single version, but the full 6:57 album version!

And at McDonald's today, what should I hear on "McDonald's Radio" but "And Dream of Sheep" by Kate Bush! I know that Kate has had a resurgence recently, thanks to Stranger Things, but this was a lesser-known album track, not "Running Up That Hill" or some other single. I don't think I've ever heard anyone play this song (or any of the other songs from Side 2 of Hounds of Love), unless they were playing that whole album. I'm not counting the time I saw Baby Bushka, the Kate Bush tribute band, in concert. They know how to dish up the deep cuts!

In a weird way, I envy young people who not only can do, but also enjoy doing, all of their computer/online stuff on their smartphones. I didn't grow up with it, it became a thing when I was already in my thirties, so it still seems wondrous to me. (And insidious, but that's a separate issue.)

I cannot, unfortunately, because a) my life is far too complicated for that and b) I've reached the age when presbyopia has become a real concern.

Harumph.

I don’t mind doing things on my phone, but I’ve always had a laptop so there’s always that to use. When I travel I only bring my phone though and I’d do everything I need to from there. But I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max so it’s also a little bigger… when I see people’s tiny phones idk how they do anything.

Speaking of traveling, I’m heading to Puerto Rico for a few days!

I found out that the squirrel only takes one peanut at a time and then comes back to take another until all four are gone. Here he is looking for more.

I had a run in with two crows in my backyard yesterday. They were BIG too and I lost four peanuts in that ordeal. :crying:
