Well obviously I would have more harsh things to say, why would captain? Criticism isn't always mean.

Besides:
I think that all the members have been doing their best over these 10 plus years since our time in the Kids.
When I heard the announcement of the Budoukan for ℃-ute, our good friends and coworkers since that time in the Kids,
feelings like,
“Congrats!”
as well as,
“What about us…”
welled up at the same time.

I'm a Captain fan, and I find this pathetic. The whole blog post is pathetic. In a nutshell she's like, "We've been working just as hard as C-ute these past years, we want to hold a Budokan stage just like C-ute". Then coincidentally they get the challenge to have a concert.

I'm not fully understand. Why is it pathetic? It shows that she still cares.
When berryz first formed, c-ute girls felt " what about us". Then they worked their ass off to prove themselves.
Well, if berryz girls did nothing but saying big things on blogs, then it's pathetic. But if they actually put in more effort and show improvment, then it's great.

Berryz isn't. You can't plaster another groups identity on Berryz just bc you feel some members aren't as strong as others.

Lol, ok fair enough, not necessarily agreeing but I see your point. Thanks for sharing and providing an actual reason why you thought it was a bad idea as opposed to just "mind assplodingu :emo:  :mooning: "

OK maybe don't fire those two but at least Takako/Hitoe-ize them. :giggle:

If they were putting more effort and making improvements, they wouldn't need to say tell the fans directly which is what makes it pathetic.

I love Yurina. Loved her in Shining Power.
Great song, and she did great as center. I always look forward to her solo lines, especially in GCT "Starlight" sounds so good.

Im on the side that wants Chinami out tbh, shes always come off as having stagnated these past years. Plus her singing is actually horrible.

That's the skinny.

Obviously *not* referring to her shape, but imo Chinami is the Rika-chan of Berryz Koubou. She's good at being Chinami, that's pretty much all she's required to do.

lol After reading over the old entry, it really is not a tantrum at all lol. She's disappointed in herself for not leading better, and C-ute's success has made her realize that. Her post is a renewed promise to do better for the fans, and that's not pathetic at all. She says she's going to be more active in leading Berryz, and that's not a bad thing or pathetic in the slightest. Let us look at more of what she wrote, shall we?

"I need to lead the members more actively.
I’ve just now finally noticed this.
…It’s really late, isn’t it."

" I started thinking more about what I should be doing as Captain for the sake of the members, as well as all the fans who come down for our concerts.
My active self has come out now that it’s become our 10th year."

"I should take the lead in order for this thought to become a reality.
And so, all the members, and all the fans, please get energized together with Berryz Kobo!!
Please follow me!!

I’ll do the best I can as Captain, with all my heart!!!"

"Since I’m helpless just by myself…
I’m naming Natsuyaki Miyabi as sub-captain.
I’ll decide what the other members will be in charge of as occasion calls."

She acknowledges that she needs help, and appoints Miya, because she needs help. Not to add fuel to the fire, or to scramble for attention. lol Or is it that she did this publicly that qualifies this as "pathetic" ? At least she's letting us know that she knows and has the same concerns as us about Berryz too, and that she's actively going to work to change that. I'd rather know of it, than to not hear anything at all and continue thinking that the girls dont give a hoot at all, and are going to continue to coast until their terrible showing at Budoukan. She's letting us know that they're gonna be fighting, isn't that what we wanted?

The blog post alone wouldn't be pathetic, but the fact that this comes after the announcement of C-ute's Budokan concert is what makes it pathetic. Besides this is how this situation comes off as to me. You think I'm harsh? I'm not anything compared to the extremes of some people.

But going back to my original point that got sidetracked, it feels like a lot of people in some fandoms have forgotten about how much promotion Berryz were getting overseas and for singles like Cha Cha Sing. They've been promoting overseas way more than C-ute has, and to say that they've been getting the short end of the stick by the company is preposterous.

No lol I never stated that I thought you were harsh, and I don't care if there are harsher people out there.

I am just having trouble understanding how you made the leap to pathetic. Perhaps if she had been throwing a tantrum, I could see where that came from lol But C-ute's announcement was simply her catalyst to strive to do better by us fans, which is what a lot of people were wanting for so long, so idk. To each their own I guess.

That "shorter end of the stick" thing was mentioned by someone else, but that could also be up for debate. If you loved this single & pvs, then they're getting treated the same lol if you hated this single & pvs, but loved the other groups, then it feels like Berryz got the short straw. There are arguments for either. I will say though, that whoever edited and budgeted for the Berryz PVs, simply didn't do as good of a job with what they were given in comparison to whoever was in charge of the outfits/set/editing for the other groups PVs. That isn't necessarily a deliberate short stick though, but may just be the shortcomings of whoever is in charge of their releases. Maybe they poured all the money into the detailing on the Golden China Town outfits, which are amazing. And while C-ute's Amefuri song had 435374985 outfits and rain, the rain wasn't well done lol you could see where the hose would have been, and the outfits (while cute) were something you could get at a mall. It all balances out really, it's just that C-ute's director managed to make it look like more, within (perhaps) the same constraints.
