Reina too, apparently Rika wasn't a morning person even though she was in Morning Musume xD. But in a couple of backstages and makings of you can see Rika with Sayu or Eri or both chumming it up. Sayu also did participate in a birthday ustream for Rika.

As for the senpai-kouhai boundary we have been talking about, the current Musume seem to have broken that down. Reina and Sayu are not the types to conform to such rigid structures to start with anyway. So the kouhai find it easier to work with their senpai.
Or maybe its just all about Masaki

Definitely thanks to Masaki that 9th and 10th gen were able to get close to Sayu and Reina.
I'd say they're still making sure to keep the senpai-kouhai thing there but maybe not as strict and horrifying as before.

On Kanon: I doubt she's best friends with everyone, I don't think anyone is. But she's really close with Riho and Ayumi. All of 9th gen seem to have a good relationship as well. Maybe she doesn't go well with... idk, Haruna? Haruka? Masaki? I don't know. But I doubt anyone in the group straight out hates anyone else.

Reina and Sayu have both said that they didn't fight in the past but they just didn't click, and in the MC of the Colorful concert (I believe it was) Sayu said that it was because of Eri graduating that Sayumi and Reina became closer. Which makes a lot of sense. Nothing weird going on there at all. Reina too has said she didn't really make friends within the group early on.

She gets along with her Kyuukies and Sakura. Other than that, its really rare to see Zukki with any Jukki member.
Of course we don't know because we can't see anything behind the cameras.

...So no, I don't think it is outlandish to say Kanon doesn't really get in with 9th gen. She's always with 10th and sakura behind the scenes from what I've seen.

Which is it guys? This is starting to get confusing.

I think the kyukkies and jyukkies all seem to get along pretty well and Sakura is fitting in surprisingly well too. They are all close in age and all joined around the same few years so there isnt much really dividing them.

I mean I know you guys think the assumptions we are making on how well Kanon gets along with her group members is based on pure factual evidence, but really the girls haven't been in the group long enough to even make those assumptions. Are there blog posts that show Kanon hanging out with certain girls more than others? And even if she did would that mean that she doesnt get along with the members she hangs out with less? I don't think so.

Kanon is not graduating. Nothing whatsoever is pointing to her graduating before anyone else. Just because her personality isnt the same as when she joined it does not mean she is unhappy and it never did. Everyone has just been making stuff up based on loose evidence. Sure she could be stressed or feel pressure since her kouhai joined, but even that isnt a certainty. It could be anything really.It could just be puberty or her personality changing as she gets older. But is she so unhappy she might leave? We don't know that at all! There is nothing concrete to prove that! Why are we dedicating so many pages to this issue?

I mean there is a possibilty that Kanon could be completely and utterly miserable, not get along with anyone in Morning Musume, hate all her kouhai for stealing her spot light, hate her own gen just because, feel fat and worthless because she reads internet forums, and hates being an idol because its really demanding and alot of pressure and wants to get out of Morning Musume as soon as her contract is up.... but I havent heard one person give any good reasoning behind any of that besides saying... "I would feel that way" or "from what we've seen or heard in a video or blog post it seems like..."

Can we really get all of that out of a blog post or a video anyway?

Now can we stop with all the Kanon is next on the chopping block banter. I don't know who started the idea but it really spread like wildfire and now everyone thinks its possible.

Haruna loves MoMusu for sure. Though she is much older than the other members so naturally she might leave first. Honestly I think after Sayu graduates and 12 gen joins no one will graduate for a while!
