What LoVendoR is doing and what Silent Siren does are just two different things. Silent Siren's sound is really idol pop in a more-or-less rock-group format, but it's pretty clear that from the start, LoVendoR has aimed at being a genuine rock group. It's just a very different tradition. (And I purposefully used the word "tradition," because by now, both idol pop and the kind of classic rock sound that LoVendoR has are both well-established traditions.)

I remember someone mentioning LoVendoR was going to do some kind of girl rock band similar to Silent Siren. This is what really got my hopes up because I really love Silent Siren's music style. I realize that LoVendoR is more about rock music but honestly I'm not really into rock music which kind of sucks seeing as I was hoping I'd get into Reina's band and stay updated with her band stuff.

While I say I'm not into rock music, I do like Stereopony, SCANDAL and a bit of ZONE's music but I feel these groups are a bit different to what we've heard of LoVendoR's sound. Also their cover song arrangements are just not sitting well with me.

Although when I saw SCANDAL on the Japan Nite tour (just before they hit), they did have a lot of that same kind of raw sound.

Which is a point worth keeping in mind - LoVendoR's studio sound is likely to be more polished (haven't had a chance to listen to the iTunes samples yet, so I'm guessing), and ultimately, with more practice and production, their live sound as well.

They do remind me more than a bit of MARIA (the ZONE spinoff group) live. (Incidentally, if H!P wants to pick a bass player or two and maybe a drummer and a keyboard player out of the wreckage of Runtime, a few ex-MARIAs would fit in nicely, I think. )

They did Roman and Sexy Boy at the live which was awesome though. This keeps my hopes up for a rock version of Shabondama.

The WTF-award went to Sexy Boy though. Also wouldn't mind Kanashimi Twilight.

I wonder why they don't add the drummer and the bassist to the band...and I don't like how marina? and reina's voice mix...it is like aireina all over again.
