But seriously. Do we have to talk about her weight in every thread? She's been looking fine lately. And even when she was bigger, she wasn't that bad. Good god.

EDIT: Also, I'd just like to point out that part of the problem is that they give her unflattering outfits, which make her look bigger than she is.

EVERYONE says they "chose" to graduate - 95% didn't. It is what it is - the only time it's ever made me upset was JunLin getting shafted bc Eri wanted to leave. That shit wasn't right.

Kanon lost weight?? Coulda fooled me. Then again they don't know how to dress a girl with a little curve. Kimi Sae being exhibit A. You DO NOT but horizontal lines on a girl that already stands out. Had they done diagonal fringe on a few girls, Kanon being one, she would have looked WORLDS slimmer. Just saying - if her weight is/has been stress related - it'd be the only reason I could see Tsunku's comments anywhere near being about Kanon. Otherwise I feel like everyone is just ganging up on Kanon as the odd-woman-out.

Just FYI, but the direction stripes are on clothing doesn't matter in terms of making them look slimmer. It's a myth, and there's not difference between vertical and horizontal stripes.

Oh and yeah, the girls do choose to graduate. Obviously sometimes that's not the case (Aika), but really? I doubt Ai and Risa were forced to graduate. Same with, y'know, Yossy, Rika, Konkon, Makoto....

Not counting scandals though. Then again, I think Miki probably took it as an opportunity to get the fuck out. I think Mari would've stayed longer if it wasn't for hers.

Btw, Eri left because of a skin condition/health reasons. It just so happened that Junjun and Linlin's visas/contracts (whichever it was. We'll never know.) expired around the same time. If Eri was healthy, she would've stayed. Junjun and Linlin though? Probably not.

I'm pretty sure Koharu, JunLin, Makoto were all pretty clear on the fact that they did not *choose* to graduate lol. It's also pretty much implied Reina didn't. Though she doesn't seem bothered by it at all. And then of course there is Mari and Miki, lol. I think Maki was also pretty clear that she was just told she was graduating.

As for who did choose... I think Gaki-san did. Konno, sure did. Nakazawa is probable. And then Mitsui, Eri.

Everything else is more nebulous. Like, did Kaori choose or was she pushed? What about Nacchi? I don't know. Aichan, we know she was told that she "needed to think about her future" so that's pretty much telling her "choose when to graduate please". That doesn't really count as choosing altogether imo.

I don't think Kanon would necessarily be the one to graduate (provided it's not Sayu), I'm just saying she's not pushed by management for the same reasons Aika wasn't. She doesn't seem to appeal to wota that much. Hey who knows, maybe Mizuki and Sayu would graduate together to form a duet, or something. Who knows.

And Starra baby, I'm pretty sure Dan knows his shit better than anyone here when it comes to styling and fashion.

Ogawa? I doubt she chose it. Koharu probably was talked into it too. Aika obviously didn't chose to, but had to. Junjun and Linlin definitely didn't chose to. But Ai, Gaki, Reina? Yeah I believe they chose it on their own. Because they have been in for TEN YEARS and were/are probably starting to feel it's about time. Ai said she felt it when Eri, Jun and Lin left and she was asked by Tsunku what she thought about her own situation. Gaki wanted to leave with Ai but decided to wait to be with 10th gen. Reina said she started to think about it around One, Two, Three. 9th and 10th gen might be told to leave. But Sayu? Hell no. Her fans aren't going anywhere unless she is and she doesn't really stand out too much within the group as it is anyway. Sayu herself is probably thinking about graduating and such but what do we know.


Reina especially. I watched her Graduation DVD just yesterday where she talked about her graduation and it's pretty damn obvious she chose it on her own. Like I said in an earlier post her band wasn't supposed to happen for another TWO YEARS. But she wanted to graduate and she told Tsunku directly - not management or anything - and that way they started to speed up the band-thing. But of course, she might just have been forced to do it and lies in that DVD, that's always possible of course. Just like Risa probably was forced to quit and didn't really wanna graduate with Aichan at all.
