I think Zukki's just stressed out. I mean, they were somewhat busier the last few singles than they've ever been. And even though you understand and mentally prepare yourself for the stress that comes with being an idol, actually going through it is another thing.

Why does everyone keep saying Zukki doesn't want to be in Morning Musume. Yes she hasn't been acting goofy like she did when she first joined and was showing everyone her monomane... But I think she has just become overwhelmed since her kouhai joined. I'm not sure why but ever since 10th gen joined she hasn't acted the same. Maybe she feels like because she is a Senpai and no longer the youngest member that she has to act more mature. Maybe she isn't sure what personality to have within the group. That's sad because Zukki should just be herself. Tsunku has even seen this change in Zukki. I've noticed it as well. She has been styled very poorly recently and hasn't shown her personality while the other members are growing in both skill and personality. It has made Zukki drop in my ranking for sure. Perhaps when she get older she will feel comfortable again. Maybe she is self conscious about her weight? Who knows it could be anything! But that doesn't mean she is unhappy and wants to leave the group.

Like I said, she's just stressed out. It's no different from, say, being stressed out in your job because of management and process changes and you have to double your efforts to compensate. She has had to double her efforts ever since the 10th gen joined plus there's school to worry about not to mention all those normal stuff that people go through off-stage. But those things are NORMAL. People deal with it differently, so even though she's not the usual goofy Zukki at the moment, it doesn't mean she wants out.

And it doesn't mean she's not funny still, just saying. In the MCs from the dvd magazines and the MCs you hear in fan recordings of this tour, she still has that comedian in her and she's still funny lol. She's just not as spontaneous or over the top I think. But like you said, there's normal stuff to worry about, work, how to work within the group, getting pushed to lose weight (this hasn't officially been said, but they did/do for sure), having to worry about her juniors and also be aware of that once Reina leaves, the rest of 9th gen are the 2nd highest on the "senpai-list" which surely would put some pressure on her too.
And like I mentioned in some other thread somewhere, Kanon admires Aika. Aika was good with dealing with her juniors and she was a good talker in MC and such. This is definitely the way Kanon is trying to be, you can tell if you listen to her speeches for concerts especially. I wish management would push this side of her a bit more. Give her something to MC with 10th gen and Sakura or something. It would do for good practice and help her find herself quicker too.
That Kanon wants to leave the group though? No way. She loves it.

Nothing new, really. If you've already watched the announcement and comments, then you can skip this. It's more interesting for the fact that the news is getting picked up by more outlets; Tokyo MX appears to handle mostly hard news, rather than just soft news (i.e., celebrities and entertainment) like MAiDiGiTV and JIJIPRESS do.

Tsunku: The members, I'm sure are thinking since Reina-san graduated the next one to go is Michishige-san. But that's not the only option there is. It's not for sure it'll happen in order like that. And because of that the other members probably are feeling too comfortable that "there are still senpai here so I'm fine". If I find someone slacking off, they might just have to go. So I want them to keep that in mind. (Reporter: Is there someone who's slacking off right now?) Right now... There might be a lot of them. (Reporter: Their faces...) I couldn't find a girl who's slacking though. Ok, so there's obviously Zukki who's a little off but isn't really slacking (in the sense that she's "secured" because, well, she rarely sings, barely gets some screentime, which aren't indications that your position is "secure").

As for the front girls, they're all working their butts off. Riho's desperately trying to improve her singing as well as proving she deserves being the ace, Sakura's performing great and Ayumi, Masaki and Mizuki are all emerging front girls through hard work.

So personally, I think he's making them nervous to make them work harder.

There's a lot that we don't get to see though. Their attitude during recording and rehearsals and dance lessons and such. Which is probably what Tsunku is referring to.
