They probably only backed up till April...and whoever fixed it is probably satisifed by the fact that it's back online.

By 'they', I mean whoever's really in charge of the forum...so jpopcrew I guess.

The mods just have powers to moderate. They're not the ones fixing it. I imagine they're just trying to lock it down first and hope that jpopcrew will eventually fix it. Heck, from their posts, they have indicated/implied that they're just assuming things are getting taken care of. They don't really know for sure. In a week, when nothing is done, then I think they'll just reopen the threads and tell everyone to re-start the ones that are gone.

I think that at this point, jpopcrew is probably just a general term for the JPM mods, admin, and whoever handles the hardware/software tech stuff.

Nope, jpopcrew is admin of JPM. A single person who at some point registered domain and set up forum, all problems are due to fact that he or she is out of communication. Who ever he/she is probably quite amused over what is happening to forum. Someone have paid for domain and server.
