[4/03] C-ute 21st single : Crazy Kanzen na Otona

The same album has me agreeing on thinking Maasa could pull it off, and also thinking Berryz as a group could do it given the proper look/brand of sexy. It would be different from °C-ute, obviously, but still sexy.

Not saying you're wrong, but still images are different from a PV. I think even the folks saying that Momoko and Yulina are totally not sexy would agree that they've put out a tsunk ton of sexy photos.

Idk, I still think Maasa can be sexy in a video.

Of course, different mediums, which I admit didn't cross my mind at all. (Still with Starra to an degree, I think Maasa has pulled off sexy on video before, but I also think she has some awkward angles in motion.)

Though I do still think with the right concept it could work for them as a group, even in a PV.

Edit: And since I realized I haven't commented on the video at all:

- Chisato was my absolute favorite to watch the entire video.
- Saki looks like a popstar, love that high ponytail.
- This is the first time in a while where I've felt like Mai was trying to get me to watch her.
- Maimi blended in a lot for me, didn't notice her much.
- Airi was.. Airi. Kind of boring by comparison. I felt like I went from "OMG CHISATO, OMG SAKI, OMG MAI" to.. "Oh, hey, Airi.. I see you're just doin' your thing over there."

I think everyone in Berryz can pull off sexy one way or another, except for Maasa. Cool? Yes. Classy? Yes. Sexy? No.

I think everyone can pull it off except for Chinami. I think Maasa can look quite sultry sometimes, like in the above photo. Although I suppose that's not really sexy. But I don't know if I'd call short shorts and body rolls sexy either. Hyuna is never sexy despite being sexy. Does that make sense? Imma go to bed.

To put things in perspective, C-ute has an easier time pulling off sexy as a group because they are much more homogeneous. Maimi, Airi, and Saki have very similar builds, heights and hair to the point where they might be confused as relations. Chisato looks way different but she just one so it doesn't through things off too much. And MaiMai, while different than Maimi/Airi/Saki, she doesn't glaringly look out of place.

So, because because of their similar looks, they can pull off all wearing similar outfits.

In Berryz only Saki and Miyabi can pull sexy naturally, the others, specially Maasa, look awkward (maybe Chinami can do it somewhat). Momo can't do it, even if she wants to, her image is everything so we'll always have that smile and forced cuteness instead of sexy. Risako's expressions are too exaggerated, I wish she could change that since she could show some great sexyness.
WANT was sexy because of the outfits (which were great), and they showed some great legs. But having a nice body =/= sexy. Sexy's about confidence, expression, thought provoking... among other stuff.

About C-ute, their image IS cool and sexy, so it's not a surprise they can do it well, even though I sometimes have a hard time trying to get the "maimai's a cute kod" idea out of my mind, I still see her as the tiny girl who started in H!P kids. And then I see how her body has developed and my mind goes into explosion containment mode. Guess she's not a child anymore.
