[4/03] C-ute 21st single : Crazy Kanzen na Otona

Not crazy about them pointlessly green screening a black background behind them. Why not just have them dance in a dimly lit studio in that case? And those bloomers or whatever. BUT EVEN SO, the girls look amazing. Even Chissaa looks pretty good. And Airi somehow looks like she smells really good. Those earrings are lovely on her, and lend her an iconic sort of beauty. Was too busy looking at her and Maimi to notice the Hagster this time around, tbh.

Watching it again ima give them the benefit of the doubt, and say the lights and camerawork is like this on purpose. I mean, the song and look kinda has a early 80's pop dance song video feel. More green lights and it'd be a sexier, less feminine version of Michael Jackson's Rock with You. (thems is jokes lol) But anyway with that said, there is so much heat in this it doesn't matter.

They pulled off being sexy without looking like they're trying too hard, which is awesome because it doesn't always happen in H!P. Everybody looks great. The song sounds kind of plain, but that's probably mostly the quality of the audio.

I like the PV a lot, although I didn't need those random bright scenes at all.

The choreography is lack luster, and its featured too heavily in the PV. I would much prefer more use of the improv dance shots and white close ups. And then throw in more crazy shots and editing similar to Sky Ferreira's One.

To everyone talking about how H!P has pulled of a "sexy" act I think Tsunk agrees. He says that as of right now, the only group in H!P that can pull off a song with this sort of strong message is C-ute.

He also comments about the transformation of MaiMai and how for the longest time she was the "baby" of H!P but now with a bunch of younger newbies she's really starting to show her growth and maturity.


Sometimes I feel like Tsoonk talks out of his ass when commenting on some singles/girls but this time I think he's really nailed his description/explanations.

Also the "arimasu ka kotaeraru no" parts remind me of another song and I have no idea what it is.

I keep thinking of Otome no Shinrigaku's "nee suki desu ka? dou naru no?"...
