Peaberry release event in Odaiba report.
Peaberry + guests Fukuda Kanon, Takeuchi Akari, Fukumura Mizuki & Kudo Haruka
So today was the 2nd event in Tokyo, at the Venus Fort Mall in Odaiba.
The sale of the single started at 11:00, I was 30 minutes early so I had to wait in line before we were let inside the mall to buy the singles. The Japanese fan who stood in line next to me spoke English, so we had a good talk about Hello Project and about being a foreign fan. It's always fun to talk to those guys just to get a little view into their world. I bought 3 singles at once, that was a gamble since you would only get 1 entrance+handshake ticket and 2 handshake only tickets. But I was lucky and had ticket number 17 that pretty much guaranteed a 2nd row place during the event. And since I'm a bit taller then the average Japanese man that's a very good place.
After spending the rest of the day wa/ondering through all the malls in Odaiba with Michael from JPHIP (the guy who does their translations on H!O tracker and who interviewed Kikkawa You), we went back to the Venus Fort mall to get in line on a staircase halfway down the mall. Right next to me stood one of the wota that pretty much is the personification of the kimowota, the ones that you don't want to see near the girls. He clearly hadn't washed his clothes for a while, so it was a pretty nasty smell. Luckily he traded his ticket with someone else, so he got out of the way. After I left I took a deep breath, another guy next to me just nodded at me.
So then the event started, here's the tracklist:
1.Peaberry - Cabbage Hakusho haru hen
2.Peaberry - Niji no Seseragi
3.Peaberry - Cabbage Hakusho haru hen
(all 100% live)
The guest were only there for the talk and the handshake, although Mizuki did sing along on the side of the stage.
The handshakes as always were very fast, you couldn't really say anything. Ayaka was happy to see me again, and the others were just like hello and thank you. I had my Ayaka T-shirt on, they knew who I came for. After the handshake we were led outside of the actual event space, but you could still look inside. Only at the very end everyone was allowed to go back in. The last 7 guys who had bought many many many copies were still going round and round, but the girls also had some time between them to wave a bit.
I was lucky to get a nice little smile and wave from Ayaka as she saw me looking when she was just staring in the distance, that was extremely cute. These little things are the ones that I treasure most, so that really made my day.
