But omg what a great b-side! Such solid singles between Samui ne and this. Now if only the PV would come out some time soon.

And wow, I might be biased but Meimi is becoming such a stellar vocalist. She's seriously better than the majority of Morning Musume. If only Dawa was out of the picture, S/mileage would sound so good between Kanon, Meimi & Take-chan (and the other two girls don't sing anyways).

Nahh, I agree. Meimi is becoming a stellar vocalist. She has the strength, control, and stability to really deliver. But I do have two critiques: 1) Her voice could handle harder songs. I really want to watch her do a solo (not necessarily her own); maybe even an Airi-heavy C-ute song (Shock? Zansho?) 2) Sometimes I think Meimi might be purposefully oversinging. She's got the voice, she doesn't have to prove to me (or anyone else) that she's got it. We all know it.

Well its not the best song ever, but i do like it more than the A-Side which is saying something.

Actually I'm not really feeling this single.

(In fact I wasn't feeling Samui ne, but after this single I think Samui ne wasn't that bad.)

The order of my preference for second gen singles goes as this:

Please Mini Skirt Postwoman
Dot Bikini
Tachiagirl
Samui ne
Chotto Matte Kudasai
Suki yo Junjo Hankouki
Tabidachi no Haru ga Kita

But i guess that could go in the ranking thread?

I mean i don't think Asian Celebration or Kono Machi was that good, but those two singles still are way better than Tabidachi. S/mileage needs to catch up to its sempai!

On the other side of the spectrum, I think this is building up to be one of my favorite S/mileage singles. It's still got a while to get there, but I can at least say I already like it more than "Suki yo..".
