Whoever was saying they sounded bad live, lol, they actually sounded pretty great.

Captain and Chinami have lines in the first half of the song. Ahaha, I don't know what to think of this song, it's at the very least 10 times better than WANT! but I still don't love it. It's okay, ultimately dragged down by its own deliberate tameness and not-too-awesome verses. I'm hoping for great b-sides.

The chorus needed more umph. All that segment with the fat girls did was make me hate the chorus choreography even more. The instrumental break and leading up to the final chorus is pretty damn epic.

EDIT: If the final chorus was actually a celebration and had been overlayed with crazy vocalizations and rapping and remixed soundbites until it was a bloody mess, I would love it.

I like it a whole lot. I just wish the chorus had more pop.

I like it. It sounds better recorded, because in the live the girls were rushing to get to the parts that went way up, so it sounded weird and a bit off kilter, but it's fine recorded. I really liked WANT! and liked like Tsunku went for something not in his signature style, while Asian Celebration is, like, signature Tsunku funk. He can write these kinds of songs in his sleep. Not that I don't like Signature Tsunku funk, obviously or I wouldn't be here, but after 10 years it's like .... I've heard it before.

It's not bad, though. It's actually quite good.

Really? I seriously don't think the live version was somehow botched or anything, and I thought people were complaining about the squeaky parts in the verses

And I agree about the chorus not being too strong. That's what I mean when I say this feels deliberately tame, kind of weird for a "celebration".
