Also, I retract my previous criticism of the MV which was based on the fact that they don't use any camera movement. No pans, tilts, trucks, or other dynamic movement. Just static shots and zooms. But now in HD I see that the digital backgrounds are very striking, but that comes with a price. If the camera were to move through 3D space, it would betray the fact that the sets are merely 2D backdrops, and any illusion that the girls are standing in those sets would vanish. Of course even now we "know" they're not really there -- just as we "know" that Anne Hathaway is not in 19th century France -- but we can allow ourselves to suspend disbelief under certain circumstances. UF are just trying to maximize that suspension given the limited materials and budget, meaning something has to go, which in this case is camera movement. Considering the beauty and detail of the background, I'm willing to pay that price.

(Now watch UF prove me a liar by utilizing by all kinds of fancy camera moves in the second half!! )

It's weird, they hired a professional but yeah I agree with your point
It would take a lot more work to go the extra step and create 3D backgrounds.

But they should use more zoom shots at least, or even the high angle shot in the chorus, at least more variation in this case needs to be included for the dance shot.

Also it looks like the dance shot background changes which is cool.

^Aichan's "life" was for her solo song. And the names in the song is all fans doing. Tsunku has said he didn't do anything like that on purpose.
