From what I can understand there will be a new version of the monologue for C-ute.
Ame will be a Maimi solo. There were speculations it could be the 2009 duet version.

I'm kinda mad that Maimi got a solo. On a single. Whut.

And Tsoonk also comments that a lot of people said Kono Machi was a feel good song after the earthquake so being two years since the disaster and their 20th single he thought it would be a commemoration.

And on the individual members:
Maimi: might be an airhead but everyone knows how cool she is on stage
Airi: Has become more and more of an adult
Chisato: She's the type that makes H!P "fun" and her singing is getting better and better
Nakky: Is shining lately. Her pure-ness will shine in the song.
Maimai: Her growth is the growth of C-ute. As she grows (and C-ute along with it), it'll become apparent as part of what makes C-ute distinct from other groups.

While I'm bummed that their 20th single is a freakin' cover, I'm happy that it's Maimi who's getting a solo c/w.

As if we need Airi to sing even MORE lines than she already gets (all of SHOCK!, "half" of Kanishiki Heaven, Zansho and the most lines/center in basically every song).
