That's correct, you can't buy AKB48 songs there just like you can't buy H1P songs. But you can buy SKE48 songs and some other big name Japanese and international stars. It's not the most popular paid digital download site in Japan, that becomes clear when you see some of the other songs in the chart (I fixed the link). But that doesn't make it any less surprising and impressive to see Karin there. It's still a song from a local TV show from an idol in training, the chances were far bigger that it wouldn't sell at all. I hope it has given her a huge confidence boost, not that she really needed it but having some success at this stage in her career can only do her good. And that should have a positive influence on when she will make a proper (solo) debut.
