Sakura's early picking (and that she was the only one chosen)
Mano's graduation announcement (didn't expect that )

MM not going to Kouhaku / not getting weekly #1 despite great sales
Karin not getting into MM

Satou Masaki

Whose graduation are/were you most sad about?
Mano Erina, but not so much. All grads were expected (except Aika's, but I don't care much tbh)

Which releases of 2012 were your favourites?
One.Two.Three. Best damn idol single in ages (Wakuteka was also great!)
C-ute's Aitaix3 (and it's coupling Kanashiki H ) were excellent, but MM wins

Which releases of 2012 were your least favourites?
Dot Bikini. S/mileage's worst song ever, and I hope they don't get this bad ever again.

Overall, which group had the best releases?
MM. By far. C-ute was also good (but mostly just for Aitaix3)

S/mileage. I only liked Junjou a lot, and somewhat Choto matte kudasai and Samui ne, but not that much.

What would you like to see more of in 2013?
H!P getting much more on TV variety (besides momo and sayu)
More quality releases, like MM and C-ute's

What would you like to see less of in 2013?
Less so-so releases, mostly from S/mileage and Berryz
Less haters, specially for the front girls (they're there for a reason )

What are your hopes for 2013?
That MM gains more casual popularity, so that they end up on TV and all end of year shows and get to perform at an Arena.

What are your fears for 2013?
Sayu announcing her grad. It's gonna come eventually, but I hope it happens at least in 2014

Berryz' 30th single.

Out of the new members, who's your favourite?
I don't think I have a favorite member from this year. Though Kanana climbed like crazy this year and she's now getting near Berryz territory, it only happened with LinLin before.

Whose graduation are/were you most sad about?
Mano, but it's not happening this year.

Which releases of 2012 were your favourites?
Be Genki, cha cha SING, Hatsukoi Cider, Sherbet, Samui ne, Suki yo Junjou Hankouki, Dot Bikini, Pyoko Pyoko Ultra.

Which releases of 2012 were your least favourites?
EDIT: Actually, Next My Self. No other release was even close.

Overall, which group had the best releases?
This year I'd have to say S/mileage, because they got plenty of singles and they ranged from okay to fantastic.

°C-ute, only two singles and they weren't as good as their 2011 singles in my opinion.

What would you like to see more of in 2013?
Shuffles, the SATOYAMA shuffles really made me want to see more of them. And more Momochi domination.

What would you like to see less of in 2013?
Bland singles, I guess.

What are your hopes for 2013?
Great releases for every group.

Graduations, bad releases.

A solo 11th gen, announced a week ahead of time.
And actually, I think Gaki's grad announcement was surprising, as well.

Tanaka's grad announcement. T^T

Out of the new members, who's your favourite?
I've barely seen anything of the new 2012 members. If I have to choose one I guess I'd say Sakura because she can sing, etc, but really I'm going to choose Kudou because getting to know her has mostly developed over this last year. And she's amazing.

Whose graduation are/were you most sad about?
It's unfortunate that Mogi left.

Which releases of 2012 were your favourites?
1.2.3, Wakuteka, Hatsukoi Cider, Chou Happy Song, Airai Aitai Aitai na, Be Genki, basically all of UUG's songs.

Which releases of 2012 were your least favourites?
Pyoko. Non-DIY Satoyama songs. Dot Bikini (because of the costumes).

Morning Musume... though thinking back to Pyoko almost makes me revoke that statement...

The Satoyama groups (sans DIY).

What would you like to see more of in 2013?
Crazy singles! Dub-step-ppoi idol songs!

What would you like to see less of in 2013?
Bikinis.

What are your hopes for 2013?
More cool songs, less cutesy crap. But by cool I mean cool, not "sexy". C-ute and MM continuing to climb the charts. A group to come to the USA, whether for the handshakes tour or a convention, etc~

What are your fears for 2013?
The closure of any of the groups. No USA trips. T^T

Indeed, and we're all aware of that, but 10th and s/m 2nd still seem pretty new to me, so...

And as mentioned, 2012 only brought Sakura to one of the main groups. (and we see so little of Eggs *trolling starra* that they don't really count )
