i have never heard of Paruru until now (which i find weird, i'm not an AKB fan but i recognize most of the more well-known names/nicknames)

She doesn't really remind me of anybody in H!P generally speaking. I was only referring to that one specific photo in saying that Sayu looked a bit like Paru...just in that one shot. Only that photo only. その写真だけです。

but then you said her smirk was very Paruru-ish, so i googled to see what this smirk looked like. the one i found is the one that made me think Mano-Riho hybrid.
