1. Ayumi Hamasaki -she is my queen forever. I really don't like what they've been doing with her lately (2 mini albums, 1 album, zero singles), but she'll always be my queen <3 Rainbow is the only song to date that has ever made me cry.
2. MONKEY MAJIK - They have such great music. I wish they were more popular

4. Namie Amuro - Another flawless Avex queen. Her latest album was amazing.

1. Morning Musume｡ - forever.
2. Utada Hikaru - i still want to cry when i think how much i miss her.
3. Perfume - loved them before they were p0pulAr. :hipster: i can't get enough of their music or their dances, and the PV's as well. my whole family wait for news of their new releases!
4. YUI - her voice gives me chills and every non-jpop fan that's heard me play her has liked her.
5. ZONE - one of the first groups i ever got into and i still love them like crazy. the reunion would have been awesome if only Mizuho had taken part.
6. Tommy heavenly6/Tommy February6 - although her more recent releases have been more low-key and mellow, her style and humor has had me addicted from the beginning and i will never stop being a fan. also we're both born February 6th.
7. Ikimono-gakari - i'm absolutely in love with the vocalist and they always release cool music. then Japan agreed and they became popular! really, they should look to me to find out what to listen to next. everything i like becomes big eventually..
8. Buono! - awesome music, great vocalists, and Airi. can't go wrong.
9. W - i have to pretend they never disbanded in order to sleep at night.
10. Kimura Kaela / Ootsuka Ai - couldn't decide between these two. Kaela i fell in love with because of her quirky style and addictive music (another example of an artist i got into before they became super popular), but Ootsuka also has a sense of humor in her work and i've been following her career a lot longer.

a lot of these are kind of old cuz i haven't checked out very many new acts since 2009 or so.. but whatever, i still love them. i keep up with their new releases while others that i like/love but don't consider my favorites i kind of forget about until something catches my attention.

At first I thought this said favorite JPlop Soloists, and you were ranking members based upon who you think would go solo and what their songs would sound like.

Anyway, I might as well do a ranking since I am in here. I haven't done an MM one since... EJL left I think.

Morningu Musume

1- Michishige Sayumi - The best leader MMs had since... Johnson.
2- Suzuki Kanon - The best, she needs more visibility and more outlets through which she can bring us more lols though.
3- Tanaka Reina - Reina being this high is more of a seniority thing, and that I am familiar with her. Were she brought in among the new crop, she'd be lower.
4- Sayashi Riho - Hatas gonna hate, but I love Rihoriho.
5- Oda Sakura - Haven't even seen much of her yet, but she's fast on her way to becoming my MM oshi, as I currently don't have one in this lineup.
6- Iikubo Haruna - I love her look, though I do think she should get different bangs. And I love her speaking ability.

7- Ishida Ayumi - I like her aesthetic, but I need to see more of her personality.
8- Ikuta Erina - She's funny, just not one of my favs.
9- Sato Masaki - She's cute and funny, there are just members I like more.
10 - Fukumura Mizuki - I used to dislike her, but she's gotten so much better with performing and stage presence.
11 - Kudou Haruka - I like her, but I just haven't seen enough of her yet.

I actually don't dislike anyone in this lineup, and that is rare since I usually hate someone (Risa, Junjun, Koharu etc).
