Oh lawd, this is disturbing to me. Probably because I still see them as they were in the H!PK auditions when I look at them. I feel this weird sort of parentage over them as well, and will just have to remain in denial about their romantic lives-- as a proper parent does.

Regarding the single though, I don't mind sexy/mature Berryz as Ai no Dangan is one of my favorites. Buuuuut they were on such a roll and have more of an appeal as goofy Berryz, that I feel like this single (while age appropriate since they are growing up now) is just going to be a shot in the foot to the momentum they've built. And c'mon now, how out of place is Momochi going to be, trying to look all sexy and stuff with her perfect pigtails.

Miya and Socko are more appealing in goofy Berryz too. Since they both aren't really that open to begin with, the goofy songs soften them a bit and make them a bit more palatable to new fans. In Sexy Berryz they rock it out, but they reach a new level of un-relatability if that makes sense? Like they're even farther from casual fans they could be appealing to. I don't know, it's hard to explain. lol, like, I don't care, I am already their fan and like them, but potential new fans may find sexy Miyabitch more offputting, than funny Miyabitch-- who has a hard enough time feeling free to adlib and appeal to people as is.

And the newer generations of H!P members have even said that they are among the scariest sempais, and the sexy image adds to that. But this is all just speculation now, for all I know, this new single could be the best thing since sliced bread and their most successful thing to date.

i don't care if it's sexy, cool or fun (or all) as long as it's a good song because this is their 30th. BRING IT.
i WANT to hope for a good PV too, but i've been disappointed by that from Berryz often enough.. usually it's the outfits that disappoint me (the last ones i liked were Heroine). i'm just gonna hope they make the girls look pretty and not do anything too ridiculous.

It is good to know we are still mind twins, and also the idea of them being HORRIBLE sempais is the best to me.

For all I care they could be the 7 most promiscuous girls on Earth - that's 100% completely irrelevant to my iPod. And the "they're 20, give them sex songs" argument is ridiculous, cha cha SING is a song originally performed by a guy in his 50s, you don't really ever get too old to sing happy, crazy songs. I'm guessing you guys think old enka singers should sing about urinary incontinence or the deep sorrow caused by hair loss.

No matter how you spin it - shoehorning "sexy" into Berryz doesn't work. They suck at it and the people actually buying their singles decided cha cha SING is the best singe they have released since Otakebi Boy WAO!. There's nothing wrong with Berryz keeping the Berryz feel and sound, it's okay to have a particular style, specially if you are good at it and your fans like it. Again, my argument from last year, acts like PUFFY didn't become slutty groups because of their age, and stuff PUFFY does while almost in their 40s makes Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance look tame in comparison. Aiko is 37 and she has yet to rub her ass in any of her PVs. Utada was older than everyone in Berryz when she did Boku wa Kuma, her last PV is about her playing with puppets.

Even Platinum Musume never really descended into "sexy", they were more of a "cool, mature" group. Why exactly Berryz has to be v-u-den? It just blows my mind, it makes no sense at all. I mean, WHO is the face of Berryz? Probably the least sexy-acting girl on Earth. It'll be disastrous if their 30th single bombs like Ai no Dangan or Aa, Yo ga Akeru just because someone thought it'd be a good idea to break the cha cha SING momentum. Morning Musume didn't return to Pyoko after the success of One Two Three, that'd have been retarded.

Gosh, this pisses me off 2012 has been awesome in H!P Land and they just had to ruin it for me. I can potentially like this song, but it won't get stuck in my head forever like cha cha SING. Please have a great b-side.

They have sucked at being sexy in the past as a group, but six of the seven members have done shuffle units recently that have been sexy and the unsexy member is having a look-a-like JAV coming out . Maybe they will exceed your expectations?

(Maybe they have sucked at being sexy as a group in the past because they have such diverse looks that it would be hard to find a "sexy" style that all of them could pull off?)
