FYI, there's no particular rule here against hotlinking. I mean, yes, people should try to use judgment and discretion; maybe it would be poor netiquette if it were somebody's little privately hosted :8080 page. But Mainichi Shimbun, I'm pretty sure, knows how to edit their .htaccess files if they want to prevent people from linking to their photos. Plus, it's not like our little forum generates enough views anyway to hog someone else's bandwidth.
