Ok so i know this is off topic, But since Aichan graduated I've had a tough time trying to figure out who is my favorite member of the group. I know I don't have to pick a favorite but when Ai-chan was around it was so obvious who I liked the most and it never took from my love of the other girls. 9th and 10th gen are so well rounded that choosing between them is really difficult. I've gone from Kanon to Mizuki to Eripon when 9th joined and then Haruka to Masaki to Haruna after 10th, but really I love them all equally and so it's always shifted. Thats why after much consideration I've decided that Sakura is my new favorite member of Morning Musume! She has all around talent, a sweet personality and reminds me so much of my beloved Ai-chan!!!

^^ I also felt Aichan's void at first (she's my forever favorite), she's truly irreplaceable, but I got to love this MM, and it's my favorite lineup so far. There's lots of diversity, and is a balanced unit, with great looks, charisma, dance and vocal ability.

It was hard letting Aichan go, but this MM is great, and is here to stay

Oh, and my favorite is Riho, while she doesn't have Aichan's vocal ability, she's not bad and she's constantly improving, she's very cute (and I hope she becomes as hot as Aichan when she gets older), Riho's a great dancer (technically better than Aichan) and her smile is contagious.

I still love Maachan! She's number 2 for now I have a soft spot for her since I feel like I loved her from the audition and when she was chosen everyone put their "NO SARA?!" anger on her. Now everyone loves her and I feel like I knew it before everyone else did haha although to be fair I didn't like Eripon and Haruna when they joined but now I love them.

But going back to Aichan, no one will replace her or any of the Platinum Era members but this Morning Musume is also really awesome and I love them just as much as the Platinum Era... Or maybe even more since I've watched them enter and will now watch them grow into their own.

Sakura is my 3rd favorite for now (My top 3 is like my ultimate favorites and who I collect goods wise on the regular so her being in the top 3 already is great) but I could see her getting 2nd as I see her more. I just cabn't stop oshi-ing Harunan though. Her goofiness is too charming

Riho has been my clear favorite from the beginning (of the new girls), but you're extremely right. kyuukies and juukies are SO well rounded that it's really hard for me to rank them! the ones that end up on the bottom seem like they're too low on the list, yet i can't justify moving them above the other girls because i love them too... so far i haven't tried to rank Sakura, i'll wait until i see more from her. but her prospects are looking good!

i guess it's not a bad thing when the problem is that there's too much awesome in the group lol.

^same i am waiting to see more of sakura before judging her. She lacks that Rika/Eri quality that draws me like a magnet to Eripon/Maachan so I will wait and see.

Reina has ALWAYS talked about wanting to be leader. ALWAYS. The same way Risa did, and that's the only reason she didn't graduate with Ai. Tsunk wanted to give her that opportunity given her longevity in the group.

Keep in mind Sayu and Reina are about to take Risa's title as longest serving MM members ever.

Risa stated that she DID want to graduate with Aichan and she would have, except they asked her to stay for 10th gen.
