Some could argue that's exactly what she should learn from them

I think that Tsunku etc. will want to keep either Sayu or Reina around for a while, even if one of them goes, simply because if they both leave, then the group will consist entirely of young, relatively new, and relatively inexperienced members -- it's a lot better to keep at least one old-timer around until at least some of the others are all the way up to speed. (And by that, I don't just mean in terms of what you see or hear on stage -- a lot of the things that people learn on the job have to do with functioning inside an organization, and that can be a lot more complex and tricky to learn...)

Exactly. Reina is itching to leave, for sure, but Sayu'll stick around I think. Tsunku's worked out deals with the girls to stay longer than the original plan before, I think. (Kaorin springs to mind.)

Tsunku likes that there are lots of new girls. Watching that special interview they did, he mentioned that he had in mind to pick 8-10 girls for 9th generation. He wanted more new than old. Thankfully due to lack of quality, he didn't get that. And that's why we got 10th so quickly. 11th was probably - like the title hinted at - because of the lack of singing quality.

Having that said, Aika's leaving was very sudden and most likely not a part of his master plan. Because of this, I think that either Sayu or Reina will stay for at least 1½ year more. Aika would have been a great leader once the two of them would have left, but as it is she's gone and Mizuki is not ready to be leader yet. To be honest I doubt she'd be ready by next year, too. Which is why I think Sayu will graduate sometime next year and Reina will be leader for a little while before it goes to Mizuki.

Tsunku also mentioned in that interview that he wanted to bring sub-units back to H!P and have them tour etc. Which would be great, as it would help the girls grow and also give Reina time to do her band while being in MM.

MM needs Reina right now and while I would love to see both Sayu and Reina for another few years in the group, I think they need Reina more because of her vocals. She is the best singer aside from Sakura in the group and they need that. No matter how much idols are not "about singing talent" or whatever, they need her.
Tsunku said it in that interview too, that no matter what he don't want the group to drop in quality and lose to other groups whether it be to dancing or singing. And until 9th and 10th become strong enough they need Reina's voice more than Sayu's.
Kanon and Kudou are doing good with filling Risa's lower voice when it comes to holding up the unison singing in songs, but there's no one aside from Sakura who get close to Reina's level right now. Mizuki will eventually, Riho is getting better day by day and Masaki will bloom soon I'm sure. But not within just one year. They'll grow a lot, but not enough.

If I would do this, I'd have Sayumi graduate at the end of next year - announce it in January - and then have Reina be leader a bit before she goes full time with her band sometime in 2014. Leaving Mizuki as the new leader of MM.

Watch them graduate both Sayu and Reina next year though...

I cant imagine Reina being the lead singer of MM while being the lead singer of a band and the the leader of MM at the same time.

They cant make Mizuki leader anytime soon either, since thatd stuff up the seniority maybe? And Haruna will be MM's Umeda Erika the model and eldest member.

I dont get why people think Sayumi would graduate anytime soon? shes doing a hell of a good job i can imagine her staying for at least another 2 years cos i want her to. shes doing a good job so far.

As it is we have no idea of how they will promote the band to begin with. Maybe they will give them a major debut for spring, but for all we know they might have to do a year of indie releases first. If they release anything at all.

There's no way Haruna would get to be leader before Mizuki. And since Mizuki is not ready for it yet, that's why I think they'll keep at least one of the senpai in the group longer than planned.

It's not that I don't want Sayu to stay though, I'd love it if she did. And in a way I hope she does. But I don't think they'd go 2 years without doing anything and like I said, I don't think they can afford to graduate Reina just yet. Besides, Sayu has already established her career as a talent on variety after her graduation. Reina hasn't at all and even if she has her band next year, there's no way of telling how stable that'll be or not. That's why I think they'll let her try that out WHILE being in the group for quite a while, as it's new and we haven't had that in H!P before.

Either way, I'm sure that at least one of them will stay for 2 years and one will leave next year. My guess is that Sayu will graduate first, but who knows. We'll see.

Reina got pissed cause people were worried about her graduating, so no Reina isnt itching to leave(she aint Mikitty). I think Reina and Sayu will graduate together sometime 2014 or at the very least late 2013.
