I love that they form a M at several parts in the dance.
God I wish we'd get this danced filmed from several angles - including one from just above them just to see how the line moves from | ー / \ etc. And the M of course.

I decided to listen to it and watch it with fresh ears today and it's really, really good. I can't get over the instrumental. I really think Tsunku likes the dubstep sound, which is great really. I hope he continues to evolve this Tsunku-esque Dubsteppy sound. It sounds current and fresh but still sounds like an H!P song. This does it's job better than OTT did, it has it's goofy talky parts and has that weird "CHHAANNCCCCCEEEEE" line at the end of the chorus that's purely H!P. It's just mixed so well, I'm really really impressed overall with the musicality of the song.

The dance is good, just as good as OTT, if not better. I think it flows with the song VERY well. The only part I kinda think it strange is the part where Haruka, Masaki, and Haruna are in the front and some weird things happen, but it's fine.

Speaking of Haruna, she's improving. I noticed on this video her timing is MUCH better. The only part she really messed up on was the part that sounds like their saying "Shop shop shop shop" and doing that little movement with their arms (first one is at 1:12 or so), she hasn't quite gotten that part, BUT neither has Sayumi - who looked just as bad at that part . Her circling arms in the chorus is spot on, which is something I think she would have been off on months ago. The small movements that she was always off on are now perfectly synced with everyone else. She's still an awkward dancer, you can tell she was a little lost, but she has improved heaps and bounds. I think by next single she'll be just fine. That hard work is paying off, Harunan!

Ayumi owned the dance pretty hard, leaving Riho in the dust. I think the only thing Riho and Ayumi lack is a sense of personal style, that extra UNF that made dancers like Taka and Eri so great. I actually give that award to MIZUKI. Her hips are a little thrusty-er, her legs go a little higher, her personal style is all over her dancing and she's fun to watch.

Remember when Kanon used to be terrible at dancing? What happened to that!

The line distribution is better than OTT and goes a much needed direction. Every girl gets their time in the spot light plus some. They added Ayumi in with the 2nd tier singers of Mizuki and Masaki, which is nice (Though Ayumi isn't the greatest singer...). I still don't like Riho and Reina being the only 1st tier singers but I hope that changes when 11th gen comes in because a 14 (most likely) to 2 ratio is really gonna stand out.

Eripon stood out to me every here and there in this video. She's getting to that personal-style-dance-thing quite well.

Also, remember this is just a rehearsal. A rehearsal video that wasn't meant to be put online to begin with. So whatever mistakes they did here and whatever awkwardness that was existent here will most likely not be so in the dance shot.

So I watched it a few more times, and I LOVE the dance. It's awesome. The song is great, too. It isn't as catchy as 123 or Renai Hunter, but I think (hope) it will do well. As for them continuing with the autotuney stuff, I'm not a huge fan of it, but I approve because of all the ear-rapists in the group atm. And I'm really curious about the outfits. I wouldn't be surprised if they were all wearing their image colors again.

as much as i'd like to think Ayumi (and maybe Haruka) would have time to get better before filming the MV, the release is 10/10. no way they are going to film it one month from now, in fact they are probably going to film it very very soon. in order to have the two girls back in for the MV the release would have to be post-poned (which i would be okay with).

actually kind of hoping the rehearsal video can be edited into the PV.. a la Resonant Blue. probably won't fit into the style, though. DAMN. I WANT MY AYUKUDUU.

I'm okay with Kudo and Ayumi having to sit out if they have to. I'm all for healthy girls and I don't want them to feel like they have to will themselves to get better. They'll still get plenty of close up time I'm sure.
