Interesting that so many Nice Girl Project kenshuusei are here. That's worse than Hello Project kenshuusei so I hope we get one of them as well as an egg. Then a third girl off the street and voila! 3 nin gen!

Interesting question -- but then again, at the old JPM and now here, this has always been its own (strange) little world, with its own rules, obsessions, and traditions, which often have nothing to do with what goes on with Japanese fans...

I just got around to looking up the meaning of "Suppin Utahime" -- Oh, come on now, Tsunku, who are trying to fool? You're looking for what you're always looking for -- idols, not serious singers!

I've wondered about that as well -- only I think it's a good thing, of course, and not horrible at all...
It's interesting that he said that he saw Morning Musume in her -- their original mystique, after all was that they were second-best -- the runners-up who got a second chance, and by great effort, made the grade. All of which may have been pure showmanship on the part of Tsunku, UFA, and Asayan (I suspect it was) but that doesn't matter, since in show biz, mystique >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> reality, and the bottom line is that MOGI FITS THE BASIC MUSUME-ORIGIN MYTH!
(But then again, it is show biz, so last year's myth and last week's mystique often get thrown out with yesterday's newspapers...)

Based off of that video I'm really pulling for Sakura and Haruka! Haruka's voice reminds me of Sara's from the 10th Auditions. Sakura also sounded really good but I really want someone with the name Sakura in MM! They're not disappointing picks, tho! I'd be just peachy if any of them got in thus far... Except Mogi

Normally i would agree, but even the original line-up and some other members who passed the audition with glaring weaknesses ( iirc he made these comments about tsuji, konno, michishige, and mitsui) has one thing going for them. Basic visual attractiveness, to some degree or another at any rate. I only sorta kinda see how aika could be considered cute even now lol
I realize i'm being very shallow here but i can't see anything in mogi besides the usual underdog sob story and that's not what i to see in idols
