No, it's not.

I've worked for two different companies that had teal in their corporate style guides. I used the color every day, in both web and print design.

Masaki's color is not teal.

Linlin's color was teal.

If it's mint it's more green and if it's turquoise it's more blue

I'm sure there's not one perfect shade for any of their colors, so Masaki's mint color can probably fluctuate between being a little more blue and a little more green. It's not necessary to try to determine one exact identity of this mint color.

i'd say it's something like spring green or persian green. but some people might feel mint leaf is closer. the color that is actually called mint, though, is usually much darker than that. also, i personally refer to the ISCC-NBS Dictionary of Colo(u)r Names.

from someone who has been to concerts where both LinLin's and Masaki's colors were worn and represented in many places, their colors are really close but not exactly the same. Masaki's color was a little brighter, and a little bluer.

LinLin's was not the color people generally think of when they hear the word teal anyway, i think fans took to using it mostly because using "aqua" or "turquoise" might get people picturing a color closer to Reina's light blue, so it was less confusing (or maybe it was just more memorable because it's not used very often). with Masaki at least we have the benefit of the name being officially called Mint according to UF and Morning Musume themselves.

and because Masaki's color can look blue when not next to an actual blue, here is Reina's for comparison..

Vanessa oshi'd both Lin and Masaki and therefore has a Linlin shirt and got her first Masaki shirt today



It looks a little different in the picture, but I assure you the wristbands are identical.

does Vanessa have LinLin's graduation t-shirt? i feel like that t-shirt was a little bit darker than the Nine Smile one (i'm not totally sure though, as it was a while back that i saw the Nine Smile one.. i own the grad one, though).

that's awesome though, Vanessa has a color theme. you can say that's like her own image color LOL.

Lin's color during Rival Survival was a bit darker, she doesn't have a shirt or anything, but we compared the shirt to Lin's pinup colors (And her plaque color) and, while Lin's was still lighter, it was only a shade a two lighter.

Masaki's isn't mint at all. Her color is a REALLY pretty, really vibrant, blue/green. It doesn't look anything like Reina's either (Which is way more blue) but Masaki's is much more in line with Teal then Lin's was. Seriously, Masaki's shirt is a really gorgeous color. However because the wristbands are the same color, We just say Masaki was the successor to Lin.

This is just fine for Vanessa, who does indeed seem to have an Oshi theme (Green spectrum, she is also a Gaki fan)
