Miyabi and Maimi are good.

Miyabi is a talented singer.
Maimi's voice, while typically on key, is the same sound as when you rape a newborn kitten over a pit of lava wired with speakers blasting Koharu's audition version of Furusato.

This is a little much but... I agree in the metaphorical sense. Maimi's voice is a little bit too squeaky/idol-y. I wish she'd grit it up just a little bit.

Wow, an idol with a too idol-y voice, what has this world come to.

Maimi's voice is too sugary sweet when she sings. It's probably a habit that she's gotten into but I feel like Maimi might have a "big-girl" voice in there somewhere.

To be honest, I don't like idol-y voices (and not everyone H!P used them: among others, Nakazawa, Ayaya, Miki, and Aichan all had their own, very distinctive and generally non-idol-y voices). The squeaky idol singing voice that H!P favors seems like a lowest-common-denominator kind of thing: "OK, now squeal like Betty Boop, so you fit in with all the girls who can't sing!" XD

Peaberry's song "Cabbage Hakushou" was not composed by Tsunku. it was done by Takunori Tsunoda (Biyuden, Hangry and Angry)

Maimi has improved a lot during her time in H!P, but there's still something basic missing in her vocal abilities. stamina? power? anyway, i don't find it too pleasant (although also not grating, just not particularly good).

and then live she still struggles, especially with higher notes and when she has a lot of lines.. the most recent example being her performance of SHOCK! that was streamed live on the final day of Utsukushikute Gomen ne:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xrvqy7 ... start=1731
(starts at 28:51 if the video doesn't go there automatically)

so yeah, i'm a little worried about the vocal quality of the group. XD even Dawa & Riho aren't the best singers, but at least they should be able to keep steadier than Nakki, Chinami & Haruna. Maimi's faults will hopefully be hidden thanks to line distribution.

I think the best way that I can explain it is that Maimi lacks depth to her voice, it's very face-value and that's it.

On another, thank you for upping this video. I missed the live broadcast (I was prepared but then went out and it completely slipped my mind) and I was heartbroken. I'm so happy that I get to watch it!

the other parts should come up when you load it in Dailymotion (or perhaps when the video ends they'll pop up as suggestions too).

Regardless, thank you!

I tried youtube-ing it and stuff but UF* has gotten really good with snipering down their videos.
