Also Maasa isn't even the only bigger girl in Berryz, I find it far more noticeable when Risako is bigger. I can't help but notice that people notice a girls weight more when they don't have much to say about her

I absolutely agree, but I mean it strictly in the concept of being super skinny is what society thinks these women should look like. I just can't get behind that. Risako is hawt as bawls.

There's nothing more annoying when a girl gets pushed to the back because they're a HEALTHY weight. I happen to like Zukki as well and its tragic that while she probably will never get much lines/screentime, her current weight "issue" will further seal her fate.

Zukki looked really big on that mall performance. She was already chubby on the 1.2.3 PV, but it's gotten worse... She's at puberty, probably going through difficult times (hating the world, her job, buddies or smtg... Typical teeny stuff), but she's also working, so her image is important.

You gotta remember that she IS overweight for japanese standards even if she weren't an idol (a female japanese friend quickly noted that), so it's a real issue. I guess management can't piss her off just right now, nobody wants her to rage-quit.

I think she has a great voice that only needs training and tuning, and she'd be a big loss if she quits. Her constant just-kill-me-now face gets me really worried, but I hope she gets over whatever is troubling her.
