I think I have figured out Hello! SATOYAMA life. It's a show that is designed to appeal to the over 65 crowd by showing that the Hello!Project girls are respectful of their elders and willing to learn about traditional Japanese ways of life.

Satoyama to the Japanese is what we call the countryside. There is a movement called the Satoyama Initiative which strives to protect the environment in the Satoyamas.
