Hey Momoko, this is how you make yourself genuinely interesting and enduring as a talent. A gag or catchphrase may get you a quick burst of popularity, due to the sheer novelty of it, but you stall out and crash within a few months. Sayu, on the other hand, is playing the long game; even though she still has a core theme of "I'm the cutest," the way she expounds on "cuteness" — as if it is a real subject worth studying and discussing — keeps viewers' attention. Learn from her.

Momoko is a joke character. She's the Dan Hibiki of the idol world (they even share the signature pink color, lol), I doubt there's any more ambition for her Momochi character. Also, Yurushite-nyan is way older than a few months, and now it's being used by other talent on TV and is the title for Berryz' upcoming b-side which will mostl likely be a Momo solo. I'd say she's doing okay.

Of course it's a joke character. I said that already: it's a character based on a gag or catchphrase.

That doesn't change the fact that it's overplayed and now due to stall out and crash, just like every other gag or catchphrase-based character that came before her.

The fact that other talents are copying the gag should be your first clue as to how soon the crash will come — the novelty of it is gone, so there is no need for the character herself anymore. The parodies will come next…

By the way, no one outside of our own fandom cares that she's getting a solo B-side. Berryz are still a third-tier idol group that sell barely 20K per release. Regular people will care only if "Momochi" gets her own novelty single, and then only if it is released in collaboration with a TV show on which she is a regular.
