I'm going to have to ...reluctantly... give a little bit of the credit to Momoko. I was so annoyed at her obnoxious "Momochi" character at first. Seeing her humiliate herself and get kicked around just made me cringe inside. But I just watched her appearance last week on vs Arashi, and she got some of the loudest cheers. She's subtly altered the "Momochi" persona to be less whiny and more, well, cute I guess. Some of the other talents, female and male alike, were even imitating her signature move.

It's freaking genius timing the way that Tsunku released this collab now, with the yurushite nyan meme at its height, and Momoko singing the line in the song. It had to be planned all way in advance. And it worked. Well enough to turn a few extra eyeballs at the MV when she pops up. Well enough to vindicate Tsunku's methods. Clever old bastard's not ready to be put out to pasture yet.

With viewers being used to personalities like Sayu's translating into her sort of vocal performances, I wonder how unexpected it would be for those new to Momochi to hear her solo Jiriri Kiteru, or anything that shows off how talented she actually is.

Whoa... since I don't understand Japanese, I didn't even think about how the lyrics would merge, but that's like the cleverest thing in the whole deal.

According to Tsunku the lyrics were the most difficult part out of the whole single. As he had to create them simultaneously for both songs and they had to make sense in both songs and together. Usually he writes the lyrics to a single in 3~6 hours, while this took more up to 8~9 hours.
Over all this single took about three times longer to create, than it normally does to create a single, for him.
Is what he said in the interview on the website.

As for how amazing this is? He found it fun, a nice idea. It wasn't until it was hyped in the media that he realized how big of a thing it actually is, and how ~amazing~ it's considered to be.
