well i think since this is a combined single it does make the difference ya c-ute had good sells last single but add berryz fans to that to

plus we wont really know until 2nd day sales if this is just the bulk of it.

The song(s) and the concept behind them/it did get some media attention before release. Maybe that caught some interest.

@Idolsuki: But I still don't think handshake event tickets add that many sales. They probably help a little bit, but I'm guessing the sales would still be around the same without them.

It's probably more likely to be that there's a Berryz version and a ℃-ute version, plus a joint version. People are most likely going to buy at least two of those versions, if not all three. Not to mention the joint fanbase to begin with.

i heard something about event tickets, signed posters, and events somewhere so thats why im not sure.

The song is really good.
Why can't that be a factor why the single is selling well?

The combo single did not help the first time they did it And they had a signed poster/whatever thing for that too.

I think the media attention helped, at least a little
