Pretty sure I was immunized against that when I was 5. Get with the program, Japan. ^^;;;

Immunization is evaluated as lasting something like 20 years (according to my government anyway.. ). As far as I'm aware, infants are supposed to get immunized for it in Japan too. I am unsure of if it's obligatory or not but it's definitely available. I think it's been obligatory since 2006, but my Japanese reading skills are more suited for conversation and song lyrics than wikipedia articles about viruses.
