Man I really hope this sells well, cause I really like this song.

I'm so glass half full on this Momusu. Yea they don't have the singers they used to but this song the way it's set up and the way the lines are distributed and the AuTotUNe masks the group's weaknesses.

As for the dance PV. The backround's not what I expected but whatever. Ayumi is really solid in this. She just went up in my book big time. Riho is just plain awesome, the girl impresses me more and more every time. I like seeing Eripon and Haruka in that, not front girl but not cannon fodder area of the line-up. They're both good in this with their expressions and are cute. Props to them and Tsunku.

How I would love to see 9 memeber Morning Musume。dance this.
Maybe trade Koha with Riho and Aika with Ayumi XD

Reina are you tired of being a member? Or just didn't like the dance?

「One・Two・Three」
- This time I really cut it close to the last minute to complete this song. Even after deciding on a theme, the image I had kept slipping away from it, and everytime I tried something it didn't work out, and I had to start over again. After countless changes, I finally settled on the current style.
The heroine in the lyrics are based on is a pure, lovable, and reserved sort of girl, who wants the person she loves to care more about her, but is too shy to say it. Even then, her heart is unwavering in her love, and a girl who will work hard and wait patiently to be loved.
Why such a style for this song? This is after I looked at every single of the current 10-member group, assessing their faces and voices, and tried to pick something that will work for them as a group. Instead of assigning individual sentences, I assigned parts in a way to allow all 10 of them to shine wherever they stand. Some of the girls might have shockingly few lines, but as their voices overlap there is no sense of unease, and even within the out-of-place-ness there is no discomfort (?), and the song continues to evolve, becoming something you can hear the heart of.

I also added vocal effects without hesitation.

It might be difficult to reproduce the desired effect live, but first I wanted to produce something like this.

The dance this time is also set at a higher level as a challenge to the members. 9th and 10th gen have only been in the group for around a year at most, and while they might not be moving in the same way as pro dancers, they are giving it their all at their current experience level (100% every single time), and this is what makes them Morning Musume.

===================================

He says more about The Matenrou Show and the c/ws, but it's getting late and I was barely focusing while translating this bit. Ciao!

^He's saying what I said it was. Playing to their strengths and masking their weaknesses. Which is smart.

^ ^ Of course Reina isn't super hyped up in this. She only got to hold the torch Takahashi passed to her as she passed it to Riho. But she's never really stood out dance wise to me anyway.

It would not shock me at all if 5 or 6 years from now if this group is still around I'll be saying that Riho is one of my fave Momusu member's of all time.

Summary by Sniper

This single is the first after Niigaki and Mitsui's graduation, it is also the 50th single since Morning Musume's major debut.
-As it's the 50th, he thought of making it differently to how he used to make the songs before.
-Thinking about it being the 50th, aiming to the 100th single would be pretty cool.
-He hopes it will become a great success.

Something about it being a double a-side and that both songs are pretty "loud?" [Maybe in terms of their meaning]

About 「One・Two・Three」:
- This time the song was cut really close until completion.
- Even though the theme for the song was chosen, the image still had a bit more to go.
- It was make and break, then make another, going through a challenge, this song was made.
- The protagonist of the lyrics is a young woman who is brave and temperate. [I'd say her love is pure and someone who is quite mild-mannered.]
- She is concerned a lot about the person she loves but, she is too shy to say it, but even so she has strength inside her heart, for the person she loves and so she waits firmly to get the love back.
-He made this style of song because he wanted it to be a representative song for their (10 members') face and voice.
-There may be some surprised with how few lines some members have but when overlapped, there is no uneasiness.
- Also effects added to the voices, it may not be perfect when live but it's something he thought of through process.
-Dance is also at a high level.

About 「The Maternou Show」:
-Extremely funky music.
- The dance has an intense classical feel to it. [Am I sensing some 50s theme again? XD Mr.Moonlight with some more jazzyness?]
- This speediness, the melody, the rhythm, it's got a flying feel to it.
-I think Tsunku says something like he had everything to do with this song, almost like he monopolized it and that he has a lot of faith in this style of dance song.
- In terms of having experience with a funky song, this song will be a hurdle for the members who aren't confident in their dancing. By saying that I hope for them to overcome that hurdle.

For the most part Reina and Riho are the centers in singing but of course everyone gets to participate!

B-sides:
6th gen b-side "Watashi no Jidai/Our era!" is a song which is like the two 6th gen saying "This is our era!" As Morning Musume members, their "era has finally come!"
Though they sing it as a duo, I would love for everyone in the next H!P concert to sing it together.

9th gen: Their song is COOL.
It's a way for them to wipe away the "childish" name of theirs and for them to aim towards the top.
I'd like for them to challenge this a bit.

10th gen: A really energetic song.

(Well that's just a summary, I hope someone could translate in much detail.)

Tsunku comments on the members translated by Ung

Tsunku also the 6Gen will be called the "Rokkies"
He said:
- since Sayumi became leader, her singing ability suddenly improved
- Reina although had always been all just about herself until now, she has improved in team playing, and works really well as a result

the 9Gen will be called "Q"ki (9期なんで、響きを活かしてシャ乱Qにも入ってるQを使ってQ期と表現です。)

-the song will be a cool image
-they are always seen as "kids", so this time he wants them to challenge with more cool songs which is harder
-he said to look out for the whisper "aisaretai no ni" (even though i wanted to be loved ....) which is very cool
-the melody will be in minor key
-Mizuki has become more steady and reliable with her responsibility
-Erina has become more mature since the 10Gen came, and almost lost her KY side
-Kanon is very good with MC, very natural, a character that MM never had before
-Sayashi had improved so much in all aspects, especially dance

and the 10Gen will be called Ten-ki (which is a play on word for weather, i think)
-the song will be about girls from all-girl school who happen to be in a place with lots of fun boys
-it's supposed to be super genki song, and it's not about love, but more about youth
-said the girls are too young to be singing about love
-the 10Gen were so happy as this is their first generation solo song
-Harunan's comment on everything is so funny, he wants her to stay this way all the time
-Kudou's new hair cut made her look very mature.. also, if she has more faith in herself, her singing and dancing will be so much better for sure
-Ishida's dancing ability is something she works hard on everyday. Now Tsunku is just waiting for her singing and rhythm to be in the ace-class (yes, please!!!) :D
-Masaki is pampered by everyone, and she has the character that everyone wants to spoil her. He wants her to keep on bringing out her personality to the front

On the girls:

~ Masaki should be proud of herself. She's gotten really good at dancing and it seems Tsunku favors her for singing as well. Masaki was not one of my choices for 10th gen and I wish I could go back in time because she's really proven herself as a capable member singing, dancing, and personality wise. In a few years Masaki is going to be amazing.

~ Haruna's movements were MUCH better in this PV. I watched her pretty closely and she was nice and tight in her movements 90% of the time. She still had trouble with the running in place move and a few little things, but it was muuccchhh better than the live. I think right now she's a slow learner, but she is showing improvement so I can't really fault her. As someone else said, despite being a weak dancer she is a JOY to watch. She seems to be so excited about being there and happy to have this opportunity.

~ Get Reina into some dancing lessons please. She's never been bad, but she's always been lazy. During Platinum Era I used to joke that if I wanted to learn a dance, I would look at Reina because she just does the barebones and nothing more. It's true, but it's a lot more noticable next to Riho and Ayumi, who go 200% when they dance. She can't be lazy anymore, it stands out too much if she's gonna be a front girl.

~ Muzuki impressed me and she's my least favorite, so that's good. She's a good dancer and has the potential to be the next Takahashi in her sexy dancing, but her personality is still holding me back from liking her a lot. I think if she trains in getting a better personality besides "I LOVE HELLOPRO" she could be very good overall.

~ I still don't like Riho's voice recorded. It's fine and all but it's kind of whiny. She has the front girl thing down though, so I'm not going to complain she's in the front. I know why she's there.

~ The Rest: Ayumi is flawless in her dance movements, she really stands out. Tsunku is right on her voice and was right to keep her from singing a lot. It's what I would have done, too. Haruka looks much more mature with her new cut and blends better with the rest of the group. Zukki looked very out of place and uncomfortable, I'm not sure she knows how to be "cool" and the concept was lost on her. I'm sure eventually she'll be able to switch from cool back to silly, but not right now XD. Strangely, Sayu didn't stand out to me, but I'm sure her close ups will be awesome. Eripon pulled off Cool quite well! I prefer this Eripon.

On the PV:

~ From what we saw the curtains were okay, I'm sure they'll tie in with the rest of the PV but for now they are kind of a bland backdrop compared to the girls outfits. I like the glossy floor, though. I guess we have to see how the whole PV is going to play out. I'm pretty sure there won't be a story or anything, but it is hopefully shot well (Nanchatte Renai was shot REALLY well and wasn't that innovative).

*****

We need a preview of Matenrou Show soonish, or else it's just gonna be a glorified Bside. Right now everyone is kind of riding the high of One Two Three so they can ride that wave for a week or two. TMS sounds like it's going to be a themed song, either like Mr Moonlight or Konno Chikyuu (40's for one, 70's for the other). I'm kinda hoping that classical means lots of violins IE SYO or Nanchatte. It's fast and it has a fast paced dance, so that's good. I'm hoping it's not TOO cutesy.

The bsides for the gens sounds cool. I'll probably like 9th Gens the best, since I prefer the Cool image, but I'm hoping all the songs will be good. I like that the gens have names, I hope that theme is used again in the future, it's a cute idea.

EDIT:
Also, the sexiness duo returns!:

I want to like it so much because she's getting all the lines, but she just sounds so screechy and strained all time. It really reminds me of Ogawa Makoto. Is she stuck sounding like this forever or can it be fixed? Does Makoto sing better now (for anybody who knows)?
