which is why i prefer getting my own autographs in person.

YAJ (through third party FromJapan) is totally worth the shipping if you're buying multiple things, though. it's about 4000yen to ship surface mail, if you're willing to wait, and if you buy a good 30 items that's only like 140yen per item. even better value is shipping EMS at about 250yen each (secure & fast). it's expensive since it adds up to a lot, of course, but value is good when you break it down.

those wire fees are what kill me, though.. average 150yen per auction. which is fine, but since i bid on a lot of things it racks up. TT^TT even people in Japan have to pay those, though, so no getting around it if you want the merch.

You don't pay comission fees too? Those are what add on a huge premium for me when buying several items because they charge comission per auction. Only used this one a couple of times though i used to buy stuff through a guy in Japan who was helping a few westerners to buy stuff but he had to stop doing it.

So i have to pay silly comission prices plus postage within Japan and to me and the bank transfer fees. Though at least the company is pretty good with communication and they are fast too even when you put bids in at unsocialable hours for Japan it still goes on quick.

That and other reasons! XD

I'm getting a bit anxious about some of the stuff in my latest YAJ batch. From Japan still hasn't received the two most important lots (the reason I did this round of auctions in the first place), even though the auctions ended a full week ago. Usually it only takes a few days for the stuff to get from the seller to From Japan. But then again, all but one of the more recent wins (from 3-6 days ago) are still marked as unreceived, too. :/ Maybe someone at From Japan is just being a slacker and not doing the updates.

^ i've had a few things that took a few week to show up as received. i wouldn't worry about it. or if you're really anxious you can e-mail them.. if they just didn't mark it as received, they'll find it and mark it. if they haven't received it yet, they'll just ask you to be more patient.

I'm usually pretty patient about auction stuff, but I'm just being paranoid because these are the sorts of things where I can imagine a seller pulling some sort of underhanded trick because they sold for much less than the seller hoped for. XD

FromJapan is AMAZING since it only charges a 5% commision fee, so it's cheap. Also, they are really good with customer service. One of the girls in the Facebook group got scammed on a Tsuji keychain, so they FOUND ANOTHER Tsuji keychain for her and bought it for her... for free. There's all kinds of stories about how awesome they are (They do orders from Hellostore.jp and UF-online as well, which is awesome) and it makes getting things from Japan so easy. Can't reccomend the service enough, honestly.

They've done well by me so far. I love how quick and easy it is to place bids on YAJ through them.

One time they got a couple of items mixed up and sent me someone else's Takamina photo instead of my ZONE single (and presumably vice-versa). They figured out their mistake before my parcel arrived, I sent back the photo, they refunded my return postage in points, and they sent me the ZONE single.

I think i'll have to try this deputy service next time i want to buy stuff. The last few times i used one called Goody-Japan but their commission charges are a rip off. Especially for lower wins they have a fixed commission charge of 600yen which makes it annoying when the commission is 5 times more than what your auction ended at. granted 600yen isn't breaking the bank but if i can pay much less commission for low costing auctions then i'd rather do that.
