i think they could have just kept Ayu/Riho's song because the Faeries girls probably would have danced like that to almost any song.. Ayu/Riho really coordinated it with the music they got.

I guess the dance background of Ayumi helped and i think Riho has a background in dance too? I feel like i remember something about her having dance training in the past. So if they both have a lot of experience with dance classes they have likely done this kind of thing before so it's easier to do something original.

i didn't watch the clip until now, otherwise i would have read this comment and replied to it much sooner.
Sohee mentioned Riho has been dancing since she was 6, but i just want to emphasize it.. dancing is what Riho eats, breathes and sleeps. it's so much so her thing that at first i thought you were being funny with this comment.. even now i can't be sure you weren't. she trained at a performance arts school in Hiroshima, there's a few videos of some of her performances out there. in fact, there's a video of when they performed for Perfume, who also went to that school a long time ago.

it starts out kind of simple and gets a lot better towards the end. i think Riho might actually be the best dancer there (despite the tiny part she missed at the end, but even then she didn't miss a beat after catching up!).

if you can't stand the song, at least watch from the 2:00 point, that's when it all levels up (Riho is the tiniest girl, in case you don't catch the caption at the beginning).

I wasn't trying to be funny i just couldn't be sure it was her who had the dance experience. I just remembered it was one of her gen that did. I forget stuff really easily.

sorry, i just hadn't seen Riho that young before. i think she was pretty small in the performance for Perfume, but she wasn't as front-and-center there cuz there were a lot of girls.
