Performing in a group like that you have to get used to people bumping into you and getting in your space. You just have to ignore it and keep performing exactly like Reina did.

We could just as easily say that Reina should be more careful, coming up so close behind another member. After all, they're specifically trained not to keep checking behind themselves. (See the "Maji Desu Ka SKA" dance lessons.)

In short, sh*t happens. They trip, they fall, they bump into each other, they lose pieces of costumes, they drop microphones, they miss stage cues, they forget lines, they flub dance moves, they sprain ankles, they break legs (remember, Nono too in 2006)... What makes them professionals is how they recover and learn from their mistakes, not whether they make mistakes in the first place.

i don't think Reina could have avoided it, actually, it looks like Ayumi's arm just swung up farther than one might expect (if it had been a little lower, they would have barely touched). not something Ayumi had much control of either, unless she was previously aware that swinging her arm too much at that particular moment would hit Reina.

basically, this whole thing (including what all of us have been getting at even with our over-analyzing) boils down to: wasn't that big a deal.

This got me thinking.
What's has been the craziest in concert accident ever captured on camera?

I don't know about caught on camera but i remember some stories in interviews. Yaguchi said she was once accidently hit by somebodies hand and her lip was bleeding but she couldn't stop so she spent the rest of the song with a face like she was sucking on a lemon. And i feel like somebody said in the same segment about being poked in the eye or something like that. Need to find that now.

It's just something that happens when a large group of people is all dancing and getting into it. I'm sure there is a long list of accidents over the years and Reina has had worse than that.
