You know what I love about this fandom? We all know that Aika wasn't really that popular with people by any stretch of the imagination, but everyone is hopes for her time in the spotlight just like everyone else. 95% of all Morning Musume fans have been supportive and kind about Aika's graduation - hoping she gets goods, hoping she gets a proper send off, and hoping she does well after her grad. It's actually heartwarming.

I've seen a few people who have been jerks about her leaving for no particular reason other than they jumped on this hate bandwagon for her. Which honestly i never quite understood the reason she was hated other than some others didn't get picked for the group and she did. But really there isn't really much reason to be a jerk.

I'm neither a fan of her or Niigaki so the two of them not being in the group won't affect me but i don't think i should start celebrating anyone leaving the group. They have all made their contributions and should be respected. I wouldn't even be a jerk if Kanon Suzuki had to leave and i've often said i don't like her in the group.

It's nice to see the reactions of people who understand her situation and how it sucks and being respectful to both girls. Aika's situation touched a nerve with me. It's sad that she worked so hard to rehab her injury and come back only to find out that she's a high risk for injuries and next time she could injure herself much worse. All her hard work feels like it was for nothing.

I hope that for one last time Aika can shine on stage and people will cheer for her. She's worked so hard just to be able to stand onstage again so i hope she goes out in a way she can be remembered and the jerks can sit in their own little corner of the internet and stew in their own negativity.

Respect to the U/FACTORY staff. They're more capable than I gave them credit for.

How exactly that is, I'd love to know. No print shop or service bureau I've ever dealt with offered that sort of turnaround.

^I agree. I mean, I was glad when Eri graduated but like. I felt a bit bad for her since it was because of her skin condition. An idol should never have to leave because of health reasons. It should be because they're ready to leave.

Then again, things like this remind us that these girls are, after all, human.

I don't really get the Aika hate either. It's ridiculous. Most of her haters are probably just bitter Kikka fans or something stupid.

Sometimes i think it's not even that. Just that they picked up on the Aika hate when they became fans and decided it was the thing to do to fit in. If anyone has gripe for Aika still stemming from her auditions then i'd be a little confused since nobody hates anyone else over their favorite in the audition not getting in and them getting in.
