Ai has the worst English of anyone, ever.

I'm guessing you haven't heard a lot of Japanese people trying to speak English. Ai is definitely above the 50%-ile mark in that regard.

(i'm speechless as boins about the Love Maching thing, but i will also add that Aichan's pronunciation is waaaaaay better than most native Japanese, especially idols/celebrities. but when she does badly it's because she tries so hard to get it right that she goes overboard and wraps right back into it being totally wrong.)

Y'know i'm surprised for a while when she was group leader they didn't change the name of the group to Morning Musume Ft: Takahashi Ai it sure felt that way.

This will be an amusing venture anyway quite interested to see how she handles a full song in English. She does okay in small doses but remains pretty untested singing or speaking English over a long period. But perhaps her interest in learning English had her practicing and she'll surprise us all.

Ai also has the best English man, her pronunciation is spot on.

Sometimes she has problems in the L/R department (remember "memolies" at Anime Expo?), but she's definitely better at English than the vast majority of the Musumes, past and present. Not as good as Linlin, though.

But yeah, that's an adorable clip, and her "I dunno" is flawless.
