The gap between Sayumi/Reina and Risa is insane. And considering how she's leaving soon... the gap between Sayumi/Reina and the rest... Damn. @.@;

Haruka will take over Zukki in no time. Will take over Eripon and Mizukki fast as well @____@ even if she is not THAT well promoted. She and Riho will battle for most popular newbie by the end of the year I guess xD it will very interesting to see. We have a powerful new Momusu in our hands

tbh i see Riho as remaining the undisputed #1 of new Momusu, the frenzy for her seems to rival Sayu and Reina already (not based on these numbers, based on the crazy competition for her goods on YAJ). O_O but Riho's been in the group longer, so i guess we'll see in 6 months time.

I think, if it's true what most people think about Mizuki getting pushed after Gaki's grad, I think her numbers will go up, too.
As well as all of 10th gen.

I take the Mixi rankings with a grain of salt. It's Japan only, and you need to have an invite before you can join. Sure, it's probably somewhat accurate but still.

From a perspective of becoming a Morning Musume fan in 2006

My favorite generations as a group are:
1 – Fifth
2 – Seventh
3 – Eighth
4 – Sixth
5 - First
6 – Fourth
7 - Second
8 - Third
9 - Ninth
10 – Tenth

(as individuals Hitomi and Maki would be high on my list so because their generation is lower does not mean I don’t appreciate their contributions; in 2006 Hitomi was the last of the fourth generation and the leader; I never knew Maki in the group at all along with the pre-fourth gens; when Hitomi graduated I never dreamed that seventh and eighth generation could carry Morning Musume as well as they did, just like the ninth and tenth have today.)

The fifth, seventh, eighth, sixth, and (Hitomi) fourth generation Morning Musume have been my favorite Musume formations so far. But as a group I like the First Generation over the Fourth generation that is why they are ranked that way.
