It's around $130 a month. I'm not saying that it's a huge huge sum, but H!P is unpopular in the idol biz these days. How likely are girls to be to audition if they have to pay once they get accepted, when instead they could go to one of the other dime-a-dozen idol troupes that are free?

I guess I just feel as though it's telling of their current financial situation

And they spend money for Eggs concerts, training, costumes for H!P concerts and they bring back almost nothing. I doubt the few goods they have sell as good as other H!P members.

EDIT : Ok DS Queenie was faster :p
I wish they can turn Eggs as a kind of school. And make them debut more often !!!

Up Front used to have the Up-Front Music School, but that closed down in 2009. This could be the alternative, giving some of the lessons that used to be part of that school to the eggs. And therefor introducing a fee, for the extra training they receive.

But still, the original egg program failed because they kept those girls too long as egg. It's basically how the Up Up Girls where formed, they had to do something with them and ended up forming a unit where they still didn't really knew what to do with. So they kept the options open and made them a basement idol group and a Korean dance group at the same time. If they want them to be successful they have to chose at some point towards 1 direction.

It all needs to go a bit faster towards something more concrete, especially when a girl shows potential.

A friend of mine used to run a dance school for kids, and not only was it not free, but on top of that the girls had to pay for all their costumes AND each girl had to sell a minimum number of tickets to their showcase performances, like 10 tickets each or something. So I wonder, even when it was "free," if it was really free?

So basically, Irori was one step ahead when she joined AKBN0 because she would have wound up doing the same thing as an Egg eventually :fear: .
