I think this person is just saying they'd prefer a scripted show as opposed to a reality show. Besides don't the DVD magazines let us know how they really are?

We've had scripted shows. We've had lots and lots of scripted shows. A reality show that features idols — who are infamous for being manufactured celebrities — is relatively new.
