I ask because the always very reliable (not) Tantei Files website posted a photo boot picture that could be her with a boy. They even link the boy to an earlier story about S/mileage having "Yakiniku Dates" with some "cool guy" fans of them.

Can I just point out the odd nature of her post. She sounds more like a friend knocked her up and she got married and now wants to get to know him more on a personal level now that...ya know...they're married...

It might not be so odd. Arranged marriages are rare in Japan now, but still part of the culture, and so along with that is the remnant of the custom of marrying someone first and getting to know them well afterwards. Not that any sane person would actually do that nowadays, but the idea of it might be kind of a customary platitude. Plus, on the other hand, something like 1/3 of Japanese marriages are "dekichattakon" marriages, meaning, the couple only bothers to get married once the woman is knocked up. It wouldn't surprise me if that stat is even higher in the showbiz world.
