i personally think it's part of what makes Miyabi, Miki and Haruka awesome.
but they've got different brands.. Miyabi is school-friend bitchy (the type that you go along with and think is funny, but sometimes go "was that really necessary?"), i get the feeling that she's not just trying to be funny for the camera, sometimes it's just fun to mess with people and i feel like she discovered this long ago. Miki is like the lone voice of sanity in a fantasy world (no sugar coating and no exaggerating either, just saying it like it is). i love that even though she's an idol she recognizes some things as ridiculous, it makes the whole situation more genuine. x3

Haruka is more like the runt who nobody takes seriously until they realize she's the smartest/most talented among them and confident to boot, so she ends up being the one that they all turn to. i personally don't see her as bossy, i think she's just in control which is unusual for someone her age/so new. it's just natural that she would end up telling people what to do, because she's hanging with a bunch of new girls who are looking for someone to guide them. for example, she only seems to help Haruna and Masaki.. Masaki clearly needs someone to help her through, and while Haruna has more confidence personality-wise, her actual performance still needs work and she's still a little jittery. Ayumi is on-point and doesn't get as nervous as the others, and i haven't seen Haruka tell/have to tell her to do anything which i think reflects that she's taking the lead, not being randomly bossy. i also see her as a perfectionist, which i can relate to.

I love Miki and Miyabi a lot because of their personalities.

But Haruka is just too much. She lacks respect in my opinion and sure while I might be a bit too harsh on her or whatever, the more I hear about her and the more I see, it just confirms it. It's one way to joke about Masaki's airheadness on a radio show - but it's another to talk about it as though she's an idiot. Even Reina talked about at Mobekimasu tte nani, how to her it looks as though Haruka looks down on/considers herself higher than both 10th and 9th gen. When I read the comments at youtube (mbcms) about her, many fans seemed to agree that someone has to make her cry, because she's the kind of kid. And while it sounds mean, I really see what they mean. But sure, like I keep saying, we have barely seen anything with them but from what we've seen she's not appealing to me. At all.

I don't mind a confident idol, personality wise Ayumi might grow on me a lot when we see and hear more. But Haruka is way too inconsiderate and just... too much. That doesn't mean I hate her or that I don't think she can be cute or have her moments, she definitely can, and she has a cool voice. But I really can't take her personality.

Thanks to those who answered my question about Miyabi.

On Haruka - I neither like nor dislike her personality, but I really like her voice and I feel that she has the potential to be a great singer. I want her to be popular because I want her to get lines. But now I'm afraid that her personality is going to affect her negatively. Oh, well.

Don't worry about that. Tsunku doesn't give a damn about personality when he gives lines (he'd be stupid if he did) and Haruka is widely popular as it is anyway so she'll probably get screentime enough.

Though, to be honest, I really have no idea of who they will push from 10th gen. From 9th it was obviously Riho and lately I think they're pushing Mizuki a lot. Riho was a given from the start though, but from 10th gen I've been getting mixed signals all over. Ayumi seems like a possible candidate, but so does all four for various reasons. Some people think Haruka will get pushed cause of her Egg time and all, but at the same time to me it seems like they've been pushing Ayumi more than Haruka, at least during events and such? But both Haruna and Masaki get their pushes too, so it'll be interesting to see who will be the front of 10th gen.
