You could hear her intonation, but the backing was too loud, she was live herself, but levels were wrong. (I was once a sound engineer and live music promoter)

But this doesn't compare to the great that is Sayonara namida, just yet. Her b-sides for Kikkake were flawless.

Yup, backing vocals were way too high. It sounded like a group song. Also, way too many close-ups (not inherently a bad thing... but seeing more of the dance would have been nice). And yes, this is my favorite a-side from her as well.

Why Tsunku didn't make her a H!P soloist I'll never know. Outstanding talent.

A thousand times this. It would be great to see her at H!P concerts.

Though, I feel like Universal is able to do for Kikka, what HelloPro might not have. She might've been buried under everyone else, and not able to do as much promo as she has.

lol I don't recall anyone bringing up how much she sells, but the truth is that Hello!Pro does have a bit of trouble fully promoting all of their acts and their releases so Universal is good for Kikka in that regard.

It's just that it genuinely would be nice to have her in Hello!Pro, because she's awesomely talented and would add to concerts nicely.

It doesn't really matter that Kikka is on Universal or not. The power brokers in Japan are the management companies an in that meaning Kikka is still UF* just not the H!P banner. Simply put UF* is just putting more into Kikka right now (or maybe for the precise reason she's not H!P she has a different budget to work with).

Like with Avex, Avex is a big record label but the only artists on Avex that do exceptionally well are the ones that are signed to their management company aka Ayu, Kuu, BoA, etc. Like when people complain about how Amuro doesn't promote enough and blame Avex... Well it's more a Vision Factory thing.

It makes me wonder why Kikka is on UMJ though. If kept on like, Zetima the profits will probably be kept more within UF* so they must of cut some kind of profitable deal.

If you look at the overall year, Kikka-sama has had a phenomenal debut, she will have had three singles, two movies (both of which she was lead role), a solo dvd, a photobook, appearances on major tv shows, live gigs including a very big charity one at Shibuya AX with SDN48 and passpo... I am personally delighted with how she is being managed and what she has done so far, long may she continue to rule
