My comments on the MJ perf:
1) Socko sounds really good. For a change, she hits her notes without sounding "screechy" (except...see below)
2) OK, I'm biased, but Miyabi was really working those sexy moves.
3) I barely recognized Maimai at first.
4) Skinny little Risa looks adorably cute in that red two-piece number.
5) Mano's womanly beauty is totally out of place with the frilly girly cuteness of the rest of H!P.
6) Listening to this song over and over, the chorus starts to grate after a while, imo. It's like they're screeching through that one note they have to keep screaming. Bb, you are maybe my favorite note in the world but there is way too much of you in this song.
7) Takechan looked like a girl.
8.) I feel like there's not really much hope for Maimi. She pretty and seems like such a nice person, but she just blends into the background, even when the camera is right on her. On the other hand, for that reason I think she would make a much MUCH better catalog model than Erika Umeda. When she gets tired of trying to be famous, she should really give that a shot.
9) I'm so bad with lyrics. Before the captioned performances started coming out, in my head when they would sing "DO YOU KNOOOOW~," I was singing "NEW YOOORK~!"
