No, you really don't. Regardless of how tired you are, anything more than 10–12 hours is simply bed rot. Sometimes literally, which is when they have to break out the Triad and Lotrimin. Just ask any hospital/hospice nurse.

Good lord, yes. A significant part of the last few years of my life has been spent dealing with accumulated stuff, and I'm still far from done.

Some advice to those of you entering your later years: get your affairs in order. Don't leave a big mess for someone else to clean up after you're gone. Even better, write a technical manual for your own life so that someone can just pick it up and follow the instructions. The process itself, of documenting everything, will be a sobering revelation.
