I'm excited to see clips from this one. Lots of fresh faces (for me), voices I haven't heard much yet. Should be fun!

Wow! Overall, the girls did great! I knew Momoha was probably going to give an amazing performance but I thought Hanano also did really well! And the older Kenshuusei all did well (Toa did better than expected, you know?). I'm not surprised with the results.

You knew Hayashi Niina's popularity alone wasn't gonna get her 2nd win this time.

Momoha did such an amazing job that it just feels like UF snagged her for the sole purpose of adding her to an existing group. She is clearly ready to debut and she hasn’t even been there a year.

Nemoto Karin Is clearly an ace in the making if she sticks around long enough. Aside from her body just giving out near the end, she did an amazing job for someone her age.

Niina was great but with so many new girls to vote for this year it’s clear she’d never be able to keep the same number of votes.

I loved Itsuki last year and this year she delivered again.

Now's the time for wild speculation.

Toa - MM Ikuta's successor
Niina - J=J Tomoko has a successor
Yurika - ON Ishiguri's successor
Itsuki - Ange Takechans successor
Momoha - Ange /Rikako's successor

My wild speculation is middle-of-the-road KSS like Ootsubo Mano, Asano Yurika, or Hattori Rua will be considered for MM (though I desperately want Niina and Momoha, which means it will never happen).

I will argue J=J is the home for aspiring vocalists who actually want lines, so Hayashi Niina would be an excellent fit here.

Oono Airi is definitely Angerme material personality-wise, and I agree both Nagano Momoha and Nishimura Itsuki would really blossom here as well.

As for the other groups, I'm part of the crowd who feel like ON and RC are too new to justify needing more girls, and I'd like to see Beyo go until its natural end like BeriKyuu.

The only time they put worthy KSS in Morning Musume is when they don't have any audition winners worthy of putting into Morning Musume. (See 11th and 13th gen.) If they do put in KSS they will be girls that don't outshine the off the street girls. They usually have some sort of flaw to them. Not the best dancer or not the best singer.

This tends to be the case with any Morning Musume audition and kss additions. If you think about it. Girls that are being picked off the streets come in with no fan base, they are relying on pure talent to grow their fanbase. While KSS have months to years of work and fans built in when they join groups. Management don't want popular KSS to outshine these new girls, so it's rare that you'll get the good girls going into a legacy group unless they are going in without audition winners.

And it goes without saying, but UF love to hold Morning Musume auditions because they tend to get a nice pull of kss out of them. Slap Morning Musume or Hello!Project on that audition notice and you get more interest.

now the rest is speculation but, after Ikuta leaves and maybe the next graduation is announced (but I have a feeling it will be before that), you'll definitely be seeing another audition being announced.

I'm betting it will be a H!P general audition. Ocha Norma need to decide if they want to be a generational group. If they do, chances are they'll be getting a new member or two. Beyooooonds is still up in the air. Tsubaki and Angerme are another option. Juice don't really need any members, but if Ruru or Rei decide to graduate and they are getting very close to that time, they'll need one or two girls to help fill the void when other girls take over their lines.

I agree with the Hello!Pro-confession: Toa might as well go concentrate on her studies. University Entrance exams are a few years away, that'd be the most optimal use of her time. The girl has actually regressed. She performed like she's just going through the motions. I wonder how much she was able to rehearse since she's been absent. The singing was flat, the dancing was flat, the facial expressions were flat, just a phoned in performance.
