One of Dawa's interviews was translated to English by Billboard:
https://www.billboard.com/music/music-n ... 235814638/

The interview is mostly about her feminist views, and how that impacted her as an idol/influenced her beliefs on the idol industry. A very good real, overall.

You were a member of Angerme at the time, so you must have been living with a disconnect between that knowledge you were inputting and the required output in your work life.

My feelings and actions were always completely the opposite. While going back and forth between these opposing views, I discovered that idols are social existences rather than individual ones. I tried my best thinking I could change the world of idols too somehow, but it was hard to do by myself. I decided to “graduate” from the group because I thought that I couldn’t realize what I wanted to do while I still belonged to the company.

That performance was really nice, too bad it's already disappeared from Instagram. I love Yumeno's output this year. She's really coming into her own as an artist. She has been dropping songs at the rate of about one a month for the past several months, here are the recent ones in reverse order.

She just released the song Re:START on a bunch of platforms including YouTube Music.

Ichi Miman / Less than 1 got released last month, here it is live.

xabón, probably the weakest of the bunch.

Nagusamenaide, which I mentioned previously.

And finally Mayonaka no Kagi which has a really nice city pop groove.

Before that was Sunny in My Heart which we covered.

So Nakky continues to release videos on a Monday - entertaining and heart-felt ones I might add. I wanted to follow up with my last review, especially, because I messed up with the interpretation. (I ran into a few things). She has been saying for a while now that she was going to tour NZ by visiting several wwoofing locations. Somehow, in my head that got lost and I thought that she was looking to stay at one location.

(I don't post the video description text that Saki writes because this board software isn't capable of handling the emoji used).

She says that this place is wonderful. The host family is very talkative and cheerful. They are from England originally. She would stay here if she was staying in one place for a year straight.

She has her own little cottage with all the amenities. She's allowed to decide her own work schedule, so she works from 8:30 - 10:30 and then has a coffee break with the granny before heading back out

13:50 She misses some things about Japan, like their seasons, and foods. She is the type of person who enjoys exchanging holiday greetings with friends and family, like yoi otoshio (Happy New Year).

She is intensely enamored with a Napier cafe's cacaoccino (never heard of it  ). There is a clear delineation between flavours that she can detect, unlike the simple, sweet flavor of a hot chocolate. She does a quick net search on how the cacaoccino is made: there is mention of hazelnuts and Brazil nuts(!).
She loves this cafe, which sells all kinds of local NZ things such as wine, cheese, etc.

Her knee injury still hasn't completely healed, and she's puzzled by that (welcome to your 30s :shifty: ). On the descent from Mt. Fuji it started acting up also.

Saturday markets in Napier are much more happening than they were in Rotorua. People in Napier dress a bit more fashionably. The going to the supermarket in bare feet might have just been a Rotorua thing, she realizes.

It seems that she has acquired another reusable coffee mug, this time with "Saki N." printed on it :D

Say what? :|

I think the way she is speaking is pretty easy for intermediate learners to pick up. It's clear and not too fast. I'd recommend watching (and taking notes) if you're into Japanese.

Chiichan posted on Insta that she and Fukuchan made a cake together for her 28th. What little activity Fukuchan has on the IG these days gets tons of likes. What has she been up to, I wonder. :hmmm:
