The title for Morning Musume. '24's new album was announced at their concert today

title is "Professionals-17th"

They performed 3 new album songs

"Yuukan na Dance" (勇敢なダンス) *Lyrics and Composition by Tsunku, Arranged by Okubo Kaoru
"Koibito" (恋人) *Lyrics and Composition by Tsunku, Arranged by Okubo Kaoru
"Muka-suki!" (ムカ好き!) *Lyrics and Composition by Tsunku, Arranged by Hirata Shoichiro

The first original album in about 3 years and 8 months will be released!

It will include 8 new songs including "Yuukan na Dance", which was performed for the first time at the concert tour this fall, and the 5 songs from the 73rd single (Suggoi FEVER! / Wake-up Call ~Mezameru Toki~ / Neverending Shine) to the 74th single (Nandaka Sentimental na Toki no Uta / SaiKIYOU) for total of 13 songs! This will be the last CD release for 10th gen member Ishida Ayumi, who will graduate after the fall concert tour.

Man I was really hoping they’d pull away from this sound, especially on an album opener. But they didn’t. It’s not a bad song but it’s not groundbreaking either.

I'm not really shocked that the album opener, which is also supposed to be The Ayumi Song of the album, is EDM-based since that's kinda been her entire brand. It's a good way to wrap up her tenure as a Momusu member, and I'm sure the other songs on the album will probably deviate from that sound considering their most recent single.

I do like that this song production-wise isn't as "safe" as their most recent EDM releases, which is when they started losing me with that sound. It feels chaotic the way Renai Hunter, Brainstorming, Wolf Boy, etc. did, but it all comes together very well. Definitely hoping we get some performance footage of the song next week on Harosute.
