I passed both exams, and I am now certified!
Yay!!!!
I haven't told you guys anything about this, but I actually started studying for it a long time ago!
From there, I've been doing it in between recordings, before bed, etc., and I finally passed!
I'm so happy!!!!!!!
Why did I get certified in plum...
First of all because I love plums!!!!!
That's the first reason!
I have been saying that I like ume ever since I joined the club, but there is a possibility that if I just say I like ume, I may give out wrong information to spread the goodness of ume to everyone!
I wanted to acquire a certain amount of knowledge to continue to say that I like ume!
And there is another reason!
This is a completely personal story so please consider it my musings...lol!
From now on, I think there will be many occasions to introduce myself on TV and radio, etc. At those times, rather than plain "I like plums," I will say "I like plums and I also have a certification!"
I thought it would have more impact. And "I have two certifications!" would be more impressive!!!!

"Ume Meister" is an ume certification sponsored by the Japan Safe Food Cooking Association (JSFCA).
The "Ume Meister" certification is given to those who have a thorough understanding of ume, including ume fruits, production areas, varieties, health benefits, and ume-related proverbs.
"Umeboshi Sommelier" is a private ume qualification sponsored by the Japan Instructor's Association for Technology (JIA).
In addition to how to make umeboshi, those who have acquired sufficient knowledge about umeboshi, such as nutritional components, history, and health effects, are certified.
